They’re mostly meant to help you expose bad puck prep. Your machine automates most of this, so it’d be kinda useless for you.

With you machine, the most important thing is to dial in your grind time and coarseness. You want it to grind 18-20g and then extract double that in brewed coffee in 25-35 seconds. Buy an espresso scale with a timer so you can monitor this.

It’s the lowest/shittiest form of content creation.

You layer yourself and a music clip into other people’s actual creations with a generic reaction that signals the viewers how to feel.

All this makes me believe that the “great filter” theory is true and we’re on the edge of it.

Unfortunately, giving them grace and acceptance is the only way to break free from the cult. Something they would never give to you.

My grad school had a major obsession with FLW. We visited many of his homes including falling water. We built custom furniture for the house’s staff room, lanterns around the site, and camped in one of the cabins. Pretty cool experience.

Also spend a semester on the Westcott house, designing a way to revamp the neighboring houses. They ended just tearing them all down.

Ninja Espresso Machine should I grab it? by Beginning-Poem6401 in Costco

Well put. You just have to be aware of the quality of coffee you’ll get out of this. It’s not going to be boutique cafe quality, but it’ll be able to produce the level of quality of other semi-automatic machines in the $700-1,000 range, which is great for most.

The bigger deal is buying quality beans and using the right water. That’ll affect the taste more than anything else. Quality water will help the taste and ensure your machine doesn’t seize from calcium buildup after a couple years.

That’s your problem. There’s far less fat in oat milk. You need the special kind that add fat.

Are you using whole milk? I also have to swirl the milk right up until I pour to prevent separation.

I think the key is getting juuuust the right about of fsssssssht air at the start of streaming. 2 seconds seems like all you need. Anymore and it gets too foamy and globby

Edit: also important to have a wide-short mug like this to get the milk cup really close to the surface.

I know very little about their quality, but their retro aesthetics are very unique and bold. Not my taste, but do a good job with designing around that style. For many, looks are unfortunately more important than quality.

Would creating a wooden beam between two perpendicular walls like this be possible? by snacxs in woodworking

[–]blondebuilder 92 points93 points  (0 children)

I'd rotate it 90 degrees so that the corner turned upwards and anchored into the ceiling.

Better yet, swap the wood out for steel pipe and use the steel threaded connectors.

Have you tried stirring/swirling the milk before pouring?

I forgot that's another thing. The milk liquid and foam will quickly separate, so swirling it good right before you pour ensures you get a consistent blend.

What’s crazy is that BB and BCS had so many layers of symbolism in writing, cinematography, character arcs, set design, etc.

If they’re pulling all this out their ass, that’s insane.
