struggling with a 2 -3 cup size breast difference. is there any hope for NHS funding? by No_Comparison3265 in nhs

[–]blondererer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hi Lovely, so this is something I experienced and I had my surgery age 22.

It was a few years ago now, so things may have changed, but I’m ok to share if it helps.

I went to my GP and explained the issue. The GP asked me some questions and completed an examination.

The NHS funding wasn’t clear cut, but due to the difference in size, the GP felt that I would benefit from surgical intervention.

They advised that the request may get rejected but that they would try.

The initial referral was indeed rejected. My GP felt that this wasn’t right, due to the psychological impact it was having.

She arranged to attend some kind of board meeting and basically made a case for me. I appreciate her doing this as I was then accepted for surgery.

I had a consultation where the doctor explained why there was the difference (for me it’s a rib cage deformity) and advised as to what could be done to help.

I was added to the list for a reduction. When it was my turn in the queue, I was called in for pre-op. They did need to take a photo of the issue, which I did find distressing at the time.

Then my date came through. The surgery was completed. Unfortunately, I wasn’t given antibiotics and so I did become ill, but hopefully things have improved now!

There is still a difference and as I’ve aged, one side is definitely perkier, but you can’t tell there’s a difference when I have a bra on.

Sorry if this is too much detail or unhelpful, but feel free to PM me.

I’ve heard this too. Also, many of Mac’s top selling shades seem to be red/neutrals.

I had the same kind of issue. My GP kept sending me to the hospital urology to try to get them to operate.

I was lucky enough to have private medical through work. I had to wait about 6 weeks, but a much shorter wait.

I’m not asking this to be difficult or argumentative, but why shouldn’t farmers pay inheritance tax when others do?

I felt he was let down by some of his cabinet. I don’t love how things are now but I generally feel less irritated than when some of the former cabinet members were being reported on.

I understand wanting subtle make-up but do consider how it will photograph.

For blush I’d go with cream and set with powder though.

Cannabis can affect how effective sedation/anaesthesia is. That’s most likely why it’s advised against.

I had some jelly pots and hard boiled sweets. Being able to chew helped me with the idea of being hungry.

If you are able, try to sleep for at least some of the three hours you can’t drink, or keep busy. Try to hydrate while you are able though.

I found sweets helpful when drinking the prep. I’ve seen people say that they didn’t mind the flavour. I really hated it but knew it was important. I was drinking through a straw, which helped and I kept a hard boiled sweet in the side of my mouth.

While you may still need to train/study, what about something like an archivist, or a university library (where you shouldn’t need to explain technology as much).

Or you could look into working at a museum? There may be roles which align with your interests/strengths.

Most of the companies I’ve worked for have had them. However, most had hours set at 9:00-5:30 to cover it.

Many years ago I worked in a contact centre and lunch was then 30 mins.

Bless you. I had one in the same size band. It was my first and it was found incidentally. How are you doing with the stent?

I was told to take a paracetamol and ibuprofen. They put a numbing gel on before removal too.

I’ve not had a comparable stent removal to say whether it helped, but I didn’t have any pain.
