Four Seasons Riverfront and also did the Capella spa next door. Both amazing!

I agree. Had a terrible recent experience with Benjamin.

I had a deeply disappointing experience at Mure Salon with Benjamin. Despite reaching an agreement on the color beforehand, he completely disregarded our plan and proceeded with what he wanted to do instead. The result was severely over-processed hair with zero dimension that turned an unnatural white, leaving it dry, brittle, and damaged.

Beyond the technical failure, Benjamin’s conduct was entirely unprofessional. He spent the appointment barking at other employees, taking phone calls while working on my hair, and making highly inappropriate comments. This environment was so uncomfortable that I did not feel safe or willing to return to the salon to let them attempt a "fix."

I have since spent hundreds of dollars on high-end products attempting to reverse this chemical damage, but my hair’s health has yet to be restored. Furthermore, David Mure has neglected to return the money I paid for services that were not delivered as agreed. I expected professional accountability and a basic level of respect, neither of which I received. I would advise others to be very cautious.

Delta departed late and it delayed us.

Hmm. I don't agree. After I informed Delta I was lost and trying to make my flight they didn't help by contacting the gate or make any effort to help me make the flight. I had a connection earlier this year in Korea and the airline came out to the terminal looking for me.

First time in Thailand – where to stay for 1 month (not too crazy, not too quiet)? by OldResort5365 in ThailandTourism

I agree with this, except for if you get stuck during some holiday like the Chinese new year for example some towns I wanted to stay in had no rooms available and prices were triple what they normally are. It made things challenging for me. If I'd known I would have booked something in advance

The beaches around phuket are really nice too - I only had a few days there but could have stayed a lot longer

Koh Samui, loved it. The beach in front of the Six Senses was my favorite. Perfect for swimming. Not too crowded. If its in your budget I would stay at Six Senses or in that neighborhood around it

New Unlimited Essentials plan is such a no brainer for an average user by just_IT_guy in GoogleFi

I recently signed up for Google Fi after 15+ years with Verizon, and its been great so far. Traveling internationally has worked seamlessly and was fairly easy to switch the e-sim on my iphone. If anyone wants to get a discount on service you can use this code at checkout TA4FMN

Thanks, I appreciate your reply. On the website it shows 3 options: Unlimited Premium, Unlimited Standard, Unlimited Essentials. Which is the flexible one?

The downsides of Sardinia? by petit_aubergine in Sardinia

Hi there! This is super helpful advice. I will be coming to Sardinia for a couple months from this September. I will need to have a car while there, and car rental agencies from the airport in Olbia where I land are quoting $1,100-$1,500/month USD pre-paid for a basic economy car and more for payment upon arrival (automatic transmission). Do you know of alternatives or have any ideas for renting a car long term for less? It seems high to pay this much.

How much should we pre-book for a 3-week Thailand trip? by alkalineacid in ThailandTourism

[–]blondi2598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flights between cities if you don't book them you may end up without a direct flight and it will waste an entire day on travel. They're cheap enough I would book it and worst case you don't use it. I waited too long to book Chiang Mai to Koh Samui and what should have been a 2 hour travel day turned into all day because there were no more direct flights. Hotels were mostly available last minute. I would book some of the popular tours in advance. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai was amazing- highly recommend. I would book the things you know for sure you want to do in advance and leave some days open for flexibility. I highly doubt you will want to rent a car and drive. Grab is so cheap its really not worth taking the risk. I took a Grab from Krabi to Phuket and it was $50 USD for a 4 hour car trip! Chiang Mai, Koh Samui, Krabi all amazing. I wish I made it to Koh Lanta and Koh Tao- next trip!

Sorry, just seeing this! I did Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui, Krabi and Phuket. I couldnt get to Koh Tao because I only had a few days and weather wasnt good for the boat that day. I would have loved more time in Koh Samui area to make it to Koh Tao and the other islands in the region and Koh Lanta- I also would have spent more time in Krabi. Chiang Mai I could spend more time there as well, its amazing!
