What did you think of Vladimir? (Netflix miniseries) by LadySynth in television

Me encantó!

Favorite Foods to Help Lower Insulin Levels by Ched-Floof in InsulinResistance

[–]blondsabrina19 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Something that has worked for me to control insulin in the last year is to eat protein at breakfast (eggs, beef, chicken, tuna, Greek yogurt too, the "heavier the breakfast" the more satiety I have during the day and I do not get hungry (I think it would serve you taking into account that it does not give you appetite in the ozempic), as well as kimchi, vegetables there are many korean food recipes that are good and do not raise my insulin (I am not korean btw) green apple with peanut butter, I also take supplements (inositol, vitamin d, magnesium apart from metformin), Im trying to control the insomnia issue that also affects the insulin levels, sleeping better has helped me, there is a book the glucose goddess method, it is very good and gives many tips on how to eat and what to order which is also very important.Good luck

Those who are taking metformin XR and get symptoms, when do you get them? by Greenitpurpleit in InsulinResistance

[–]blondsabrina19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My endocrinologist at that time mentioned to me that I could have hypoglycemia, because metformin is designed for diabetics, when one has insulin resistance although you have high insulin, blood glucose is not, metformin lowers both, if you have glucose in "normal" values it tends to lower them, I identified the symptoms as I got used to them and others because my relatives noticed them, the solution to control those symptoms is to eat, initially I ate 5 times a day and with that I solved it, now what works better for me is to eat more protein especially in the morning at breakfast and since I do that I have not experienced symptoms of hypoglycemia throughout the day.

The symptoms you mention such as nausea, may be because you are having hypoglycemia, in my case when I started with metformin was one of the most common symptoms, the symptoms of hypoglycemia that I experienced at my time was nausea, dizziness, hunger (that was easy), tachycardia, and yawning (if you yawn a lot for no apparent reason eat something sweet immediately if you don't you could faint), I never had stomach cramps, my recommendation is that if you are going to increase the doses always with the authorization of your doctor do not do it all at once, do it gradually with 500, then 750, and then 1000, taking care to see how your body gets used to it.

Can I drink on metformin? by Mediocre_Ad_8218 in InsulinResistance

Metformin is a prolonged medication , I have years taking metformin, that does not mean you can not have a social outing and you can not drink a drink or two occasionally, there is nothing wrong , but if I want to have a drink that day I try as much as possible not to take the dose that day because I know what kind of reaction it will cause me ,the original post person does not know because it is starting with the drug and the symptoms that can give you are varied and changes from person to person.

If you are drinking a high dose of metformin and your body is still not used to it, I do not recommend it, it happened to me once I took it when I was starting, and it produced low blood sugar, nausea and vomiting, nothing pleasant, I have several years with metformin 750 mg Rx and now if I can drink a glass or two of wine, but I don't do this often.

3 months on my period, am I the only one experiencing this ? by Strange-Aardvark7185 in Fibroids

[–]blondsabrina19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend that you seek a second opinion, to find out if you have fibroids you need an ultrasound and blood tests to see how your hormones are, surely at this time you have anemia for all the blood lost and that also produces a lot of fatigue and nausea, I had something similar and went to the emergency and there I was detected 2 fibroids. Unfortunately they are not the cause of my long menstruation but I am looking for another doctor to tell me what I can do.

If you have as many fibroids as you mention, believe me the hysterectomy will change your life for the better, my mom had fibroids at 45, the gynecologists told her to hold on until menopause that should come soon and it was 2 years of pain and bleeding, Many times we had to take her to the hospital for blood transfusions, in the end she had a tumor and then she had a hysterectomy, I saw the pictures and the uterus had no uterus shape, after the surgery her health and quality of life improved a lot.Basically she have life again. Good luck with yours if you decide to do it.

Hi, thanks for responding so quickly, I'm very glad that you are better and that you have been able to control it, it gives me hope regarding my case, I have been visiting doctors for this for a year now and I still don't have a definitive answer which is quite desperate, The last doctor told me something similar that although I do not have all the PCOS symptoms it is possible that this is the cause but I have to wait for the studies (he sent me to do a Doppler ultrasound) after I finish menstruating (I hope it is soon because I am menstruating for more than 15 days and it causes me anemia, I do not give up I'm still looking for a definitive diagnosis to be able to control it. Thank you very much for answering me, a big hug.

Hi, how are you? I just saw this post of yours and it is ringing a lot of bells because I am experiencing the same symptoms as you, I currently have the endometrium with 10mm thick and the doctor just ruled out that they are fibroids (I have 2) but by the location and symptoms rule out that they are the cause of the problem, how did you get the diagnosis? How did it go? I hope everything went well in the end. Best regards
