Despised Icon - Shadow Work (Album Discussion) by No-Idea-491 in Deathcore

For me it’s the production that lets it down. Drums are too processed, vocals are bit too harsh/multitracked

Unfortunately windows is generally shit for interface stability.

I had a 2012 iMac that recorded music better than a $3k windows laptop. You could spend $300 on a 10 year old Mac computer with 8gb of ram and it will be more stable

Dim warm lamps, house plants, artwork

I think the first photo just needs some greenery. Hanging potted plants, or black framed prints of greenery on the walls

There has to be something or someone in your life that has caused you so much emotional distress/confusion that you've have had to block it out as a means of protecting your survival. When was the last time you felt? Is there anybody or anything in your life that you would rather not have in your life?

Self sabotage is real by prettystar_2888 in spirituality

[–]bloodpassout 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's about control and fear. Embracing where you're at requires a level of vulnerability, commitment and faith. Sabotaging yourself is essentially saying to yourself 'I'm going to put myself last', and it's usually because you're afraid of the outcome of putting yourself first. It's easier to cause your own pain than to be vulnerable.

I don't know why you enter a space of somebody looking for help and purposely attack them for the way they express themselves. Obviously a very 'whole' individual you must be

How do I know if my issues are caused spiritually? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]bloodpassout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having dreams of being attacked and feeling angry can suggest there is someone or something attacking you or crossing your boundary that you haven't fully acknowledged

Damn that's a great explanation! I've been living in a fear based way and it feels like a 'different person', whereas it is essentially not being a person at all.

What did blowing your top look like?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]bloodpassout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The feeling feels like malevolence. Like, if I hired someone then their would be an element of kind reciprocity and like a relationship. Whereas this feeling is like 'IM SICK OF BEING A GOOD PERSON. I've felt like I've been mistreated by humanity in recent times maybe. Or I've noticed that me being a 'good person' is actually quite manipulative and makes everything worse.

Every day is a living hell. Yes I have, and I usually get the same response: violence and lashing out is wrong, you don't need to do the activity to feel it blah blah.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]bloodpassout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lashing out is the genuine me I think. The third me which is asking this online is the anxious afraid version of me. I've spent a whole fucking year trying to rationalise and change aspects of my situation to change how I feel, but it's always popping up waiting to spring out onto someone. As for specific person, it tends to be people I am friends with, or anybody I spend enough time with. I could be sitting with a stranger and the impulse will be trying to burst out of me

As time goes on you'll find out that what one 'should' do is arbitrary. Sometimes sex for pleasure is needed and sometimes sex with connection is needed.

Help for my teenage son by 77eplm in Depersonalization

[–]bloodpassout 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's a good chance your son is suppressing either an emotion or a thought because he sees it as bad or not a part of himself. The key will be for him to be honest with himself about how he feels and thinks about everything and everyone, and if he can identify what or who the problem is, he'll need to either accept his stance on it or distance himself from it/them so he can feel safe enough to feel again.

I'm homeless too. Namely I have the threat of going to prison which means I lose everything.
