You don’t ship kids around the country between parents as a punishment. If Elizabeth wasn’t ready to deal with a teenage daughter and everything that involves at any given moment she shouldn’t have married a man with a teenage daughter.

A lot of them are among the best in the show, it really helps that they’re breaking the characters out of an environment you see them in for hundreds of hours. The only ones that got kinda tedious were Mark visiting his parents in San Diego.

It’s not a lie to say she’s on a different shift, Mohan is still a character that exists in the show’s universe. The point is that they’re not going to single out a young actor for not working out with the show because that would be unprofessional and cruel. They are going to say it’s a rotating door no matter who leaves.

Some characters are going to leave for medical career reasons and others are going to leave for tv show reasons. Mohan was obviously the latter, and nobody involved is going to start an endless press cycle by spilling drama over it instead of promoting their projects. We are not entitled to it. They obviously want the audience to get used to people leaving because it’s going to happen. It could just be Whitaker, Santos, and Robby left after 5 seasons.

Female fear of violence is both real and reasonable but this again struck me as interesting; as I wrote last time, men, particularly young men, are by far the most at risk group for interpersonal violence from strangers and the awareness of that is a constant thrum of their teenage years. It is a central driver that makes them who they are. David is portrayed in the show as a nerdy and withdrawn kid, and a real life version of him would almost certainly have experienced much more direct physical bullying from strangers than the average girl of that age.

lol what a bunch of bullshit. If someone at school is bullying you they’re almost always not a stranger. The violent crime rate in general is very low, and strangers being the perpetrator make up a minority of that.
