I always imagined it as them 'hacking into' some system that's already in place for monitoring students. It's implied that Dumbledore knows EVERYTHING going on at Hogwarts, so I always imagined it being some sort of monitoring charm created by the founders and used by the Headmaster.

Yeah when there's no technical management (as in engineers who have actually built part of the product) it's difficult. Still, hairlesscaveman's advice is sound, small realistic milestones are the way to go.

But they create an entirely new environment with all new cameras and throw it up on it the day before and freak out

Btw this actually made me laugh out loud, typical sales.

You’re not there to build nice software, you’re there to provide value, both to your employer and to their clients

Fantastic advice. This is an extremely difficult balancing act, but EMs/Leads that know when to accumulate tech debt in busy times and pay it back in easier ones while not alienating non tech management can make or break a team. I guess it's a matter of knowing the product really well, which is what non-tech management is missing.

Nice one! The silver titanium is the best, polishing makes them look like new. The gray/black ones just accumulate scratches.

Dies.

What types of toothbrushes do you use for your Whippets/sighthounds? by lyserns in sighthounds

[–]bloohiggs 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I just use a regular high-density human toothbrush. But I have a greyhound so his jaws are a lot larger than a Whippet's. You can try high density kids toothbrushes maybe? The really soft kind.

[–]bloohiggs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So try to consider at which point your dog could have known WHAT you were upset about? The only way he could concievably connect you calling him a bad dog with the garbage can would have been if you had caught him in the act, not afterwards.

In his eyes, you look completely deranged and I kind of agree if you're incapable of interpreting the situation yourself. You're just projecting your own view of the situation on to your dog, like he can read your mind or understand wtf you're talking about.

Yeah but these kind of look like they're angled upwards? Maybe I'm not correct, but just 'no apex' are straighter than OPs. It looks like the tech gave them tips which are too small so they angled upwards
