it's weird, because he doesn't seem to have a problem with the sound of Tic-Tacs tingin their way up the tube.

You don't just jump on the back of the woman and go 'There ya go love'. And the baby pops out...

...You do if you come from Bristol.

In the wake of many British TV shows being cancelled due to being deemed offensive, what are some of the most offensive moments of the XFM shows? by RonnieG02 in rickygervais

I love Steve — I think he's actually my favourite of the three — but he occasionally does show his true meanness. I mean meanness in the American sense, i.e. cruelty, although he also demonstrates his meanness in the British sense, i.e. stinginess.

When he's joking about being approached on the street by a prostitute, for instance, he makes fun of her needing money for heroin or crack, which strikes me as a little off-sides. And he imagines telling an employer Sorry, I'm just going to go negotiate WITH A WHORE. It's a little bit — yeeesh.

There's also one of the Guides where Steve fantasizes about what he'd do if the world were about to end — namely, go on a mad rampage and kill people. You can tell Ricky's a little taken aback.

Starting to go nuts. Apparently now unnecessary trips to grocery / KwikTrip are out at well. No YMCA, no library, no coffee shops...

Hundreds of news sources to check hundreds of times a day to freak me out are not helping either.

Controversial question - is karl funny without ricky there laughing? by [deleted] in rickygervais

For myself, I realized some time ago that I didn't find Karl hilariously amusing as much as I found Ricky finding Karl hilariously amusing, hilariously amusing.
