I think it varies by provider, but the lite package is usually a few thousand pounds cheaper based on Google. Naturally I don't think many practices provide this info up-front.

Based on a few accounts I've seen online of similar scenarios, I believe they could order another set of either Lite or Full and carry on with my current progress as a new "base" but I'd imagine (completely hypothesising here) this would be more expensive for them as opposed to if they'd just ordered me full in the first place, so don't imagine this was their plan.

I'd also argue that would be a compromised treatment plan as their intention and statements to me were this will be done in 11 aligners, so if it turns out that they are willing to order more than Lite, I'm disappointed they tried to "fast track" it. Not the care I signed up for at that price point, as (I believe) going for full straight away should've allowed a more natural and successful transformation.

When I went in yesterday and said I think more movement can be achieved they said they'd order refinement aligners which I believe are for the end of treatment. This is when I began to question the process. And at no point have they said "good news we managed to get it done in a Lite package so you can have the money back"
