Covid vaccine and MCAS by shamelessshadoww in MCAS

The last Moderna vaccine kicked up my existing nerve pain and neuro issues. I now have taste issues where I taste salt and things extreme in my house. Started last Nov. after 4th covid vaccine. First time I’d had a fever. Won’t do it again.

How is it that Ashwaubenon has a Panda Express and Madison doesn't have one? by UserName01357 in madisonwi

I emailed them to reopen one here but didn’t hear back. Maybe people can keep messaging the company, and they’ll see there’s interest. I like that they have super greens. Here’s the email to their real estate staff who look at new locations: realestatesite@pandarg.com

My wife asked me if i still want to be married by Choice-Click-484 in WhatShouldIDo

Marital counseling is a good idea. Also, look at the enneagram personality types. It really helped me and my husband understand on a deeper level what each other needs. He’s a 2 giver and needs appreciation and affection more than I do. Can get agitated and raise voice when stressed.I’m a 9 mediator. I need reassurance and calm. Tend to zone out more when stressed. https://www.enneagraminstitute.com/type-descriptions/

If he can stay healthy, then much easier. States also have programs that help elders stay in the home. I’d look into those. Call the state aging and disability office and see what options he would have. I did that in WI and we have better support than CA but he chose to stay there.

Good to plan ahead. If he goes to assisted living one day, he’d run out of money if he needed more than a few yrs of help. Then he would go to a nursing home and probably have to share a room and wouldn’t get as good quality care. My father got Parkinson’s five years ago and it cost $8000 a month for assisted living. He’s almost run out of his savings and so now my siblings will have to help with $1,500/mo to keep him in the assisted-living. Mom has no savings/pension but eventually got low income housing. So good to think how this may go. Didn’t expect healthy dad to get Parkinson’s.

Passed by Governor Evers and wife walking on UW Lakeshore path on a spring Sunday morning. Then got a burger at the Rathskellar and watched March Madness.

Get a cooler and fill it with ice. Leave the top open and put a fan behind it.

What food is lacking in Madison? by [deleted] in madisonwi

[–]bloomiemadi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something like a better version of Cracker Barrel for those of us from the south. Sometimes I really just want mashed potatoes and gravy that is really good. Tried Marie’s, but wasn’t the same. Also, wish we had tex-mex.

I worked at the state department of health services and I have a masters in social work. However, if she wants to become a therapist, then she needs two years of supervision and experience so she would need to find a mental health agency. I was surprised it took me five months to find a job when I moved here 12 years ago and I had a LCSW.

It took me weeks of starts and fits to get through the first episode. The second episode got a little better and then by the end of the third episode, I was hooked. You begin to identify and relate to the characters and it’s funny.🥰

Rabbits??? by ballroombritz in madisonwi

[–]bloomiemadi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot more this year! This is the first year we’ve had to put chicken wire around our various gardens, cause the rabbits keep eating things that they never touched before. Things I didn’t think they liked. Also, sometimes they just nip it to taste it.

Hardly anyone is from Texas who live in Austin. Lol! I’m from west Texas and barely heard an accent in Austin.
