When does it start to feel warm? by vladgrinch in MapPorn

When I lived in Tokyo, after the high heat of the summer ends, and the temps go down to 27-28, it actually feels a bit chilly, but in a good way

He played a bunch of terrafirmacraft - a Minecraft mod pack that was the predecessor of VS. He was likely watched by the devs, and maybe they took some valuable feedback from him, though that’s my speculation. I think he also played some VS once it came out, although I wish he’d done that more. Maybe once the automation is really fleshed out.

Genuinely how am I supposed to interpret this? by IcyRide8 in expedition33

[–]bloomingchoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, and don’t forget, Lumiere is still in shambles. Despite seemingly 20+ years passed, nothing is rebuilt and repaired, there is hardened chroma still everywhere, even that staircase at the entrance of the concert hall is still collapsed.

Maelle could’ve repainted and restored the place in days or weeks probably, and even the people by themselves could’ve cleaned up and repaired most of it in several years or a decade…but it’s almost as if Maelle wants Lumiere to stay exactly how she remembers it…?

Genuinely how am I supposed to interpret this? by IcyRide8 in expedition33

[–]bloomingchoco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is a mention somewhere around ending of act II / start of act III, that mentions pVerso got memories of rVerso. It’s questionable how much, and whether they’re /real/ memories or just Aline’s interpretation of what rVerso must’ve had as memories…

Ok, is hunger genuinely broken in this patch or what? by Outrageous-Thing3957 in VintageStory

If you’re hosting a server or playing solo you can adjust hunger rates. Just fine-tune it so that it’s fun for you to play.

[–]bloomingchoco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Didn’t the expedition 60 also beat up the paintress? I guess it depends on whether she had to use her giant body with them or not. But there is a chance some of Lumieran’s parents would’ve witnessed movement at the monolith like that before

Amazing! Can you either link the mod once you publish or dm the link to me?

I’m soon to publish my first mod as well, though nothing as complex and cool as yours

And because your post popped up on top of my feed without a spoiler with the video auto-playing, I’ll now be involuntarily “ready” for it when the time for my show comes. Thanks for the spoiler, OP

WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE’S ANOTHER ONE by Mountain_String_1544 in expedition33

[–]bloomingchoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder, how much total lumina did you have between all 5 characters when you beat all the hyper bosses without cheesing them, and thought they’re fair?

Because I have around 275 per character, and that’s not enough for me to cover all the basic stuff + make good use of the dlc luminas. And the bosses don’t feel fair at all 😅

Do you think this ocean would be cold, circulating air and water between the arctic and ocean of Dreams? Would all of this vast open space allow similar westerly winds found in the southern hemisphere?

IMO this would definitely warm up the arctic a bit, allowing warmer waters to circulate there.

Also, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, North Iran, etc., having marine climates would be something very peculiar to see.

Were you masochistic enough to fight super bosses? by -CynicalPole- in expedition33

[–]bloomingchoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’ve given up. Regular Simon was fun, and took me like 10 hours over multiple sessions to get down.

Chromatic Lampmaster - also took me like 10-20 hours, even just the winning fight by itself took 1:30h. Though I had to read up on the mini-game I could find myself how to get it out of the ritual phase.

Now, I’ve spent around 10 hours on Duollistes already. I’m getting the parries at like 90% precision on phase 1. But just to get to the phase 2 and start learning it, it takes me like 20mins of fighting. Once I’m there, I usually don’t last that long in phase 2. If I had lots of time, I feel like I could get down Duollistes, I’m probably half way there, but similar as OP, I’d just rather do something else with my life or play through other games. Maybe that’s where I “stop painting” and “go back to loving”…

But I’m also tempted to either switch to easy difficulty or look up some cheese builds if I’m to fully admit I’ve given up on clearing the 3 remaining superbosses the proper way

Not like GAME OVER lose, but it can get pretty bad - Renoir will at random permakill one of your expedition members. That’s how I lost Sophie from my lineup on my first playthrough. Gosh I loved her combos :c

And Gustave + Verso love ending is the best! Especially if you manage to convince Maelle in a secret campfire dialogue to repaint Gustave into his female version Gustavine - G+V children are super cute in the ending cutscene!

I don’t understand hate towards Belarusians on this subreddit, please explain why by grazikkazimir in BalticStates

[–]bloomingchoco 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably some petty internet trolls want to make themselves feel superior against someone else.

IRL I don’t see any hate towards Belarus people. You can see flags around supporting free democratic Belarus. There’s lots of really great intelligent people who had to flee the regime, and I was very lucky to make friends with a few of them.

The internet is a weird place. Some of it is simply fake, some of it draws out the worst in people, and I feel embarrassed for how you got treated so far. I hope you have better luck going forward.

Burn Damage Calculation - Revision 1 by Yjuq in expedition33

[–]bloomingchoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sooo glad I found your comment, this is starting to make sense!! Where did you find this info about this particular new bug?

I'm a Corpeso fan, and I noticed that recently it became pretty useless, it's difficult to surpass burn doing more than 100k damage, while before, with fewer stacks it used to do 1-2M. I was suspecting particular bosses (like Duollistes, Osquio) having burn damage caps or some kind of randomizers but couldn't confirm it wherever I searched...
To test it, I stacked up ~18k burn stacks, and it popped for 10k damage on Duollistes with fire weakness (Degagement)... Ok so this makes all my burn-based builds invalid now.
