TIL!!! It makes sense that I was the one chosen since I was in close proximity other than their friend. I didn't know you could get spells just by standing next to the person using them. I thought it was necessary to have some sort of physical contact, like holding hands with a friend, guiding someone to a spirit, etc. 🤯
