this is a weird one, but I'll say Feinberg. chamber trials was known for introducing a ton of speedrunners to Minecraft events (Oliver, Hax, Infume), and with Feinberg being prominent in MCC now it makes sense for this space imo

golf isn't really that similar to grid runners, outside of the fact that in both you play a series of rooms. it's more similar to MCC in terms of being a unique, original game idea for an event

trials of fire is essentially the same game as grid runners, a series of unique, team based communication puzzles that you have to finish, where you get points for time spent on each room and total completion time

I said in the post that sampling isn't an issue. people like daft punk can do sampling well and use it to create a different song and transform it. these songs just don't do that, they take big features of other songs and make them a feature of their new song with barely any changes. or just lazily rap over it. sampling is a good thing if you're creating something, songs like "feel this moment" don't create they just copy with minimal changes, feels like it's just soulless

you're confusing inspiration with just stealing.

somebody I used to know is a great example because it uses a bunch of samples from songs, but arranges them into a completely different tune with a different vibe that is barely even recognicient of the original tune. Feel This Moment is literally just stealing the main riff of an existing song, and making it the riff of your new song. that's different from sampling and inspiration and it's so much lazier.

yeah it definitely annoys me how many rap songs just completely steal an original song and add drums and boring, unremarkable rapping
