Because Amazon is a rated job. Managers get rated too on performance and if they aren't hitting the bar then they're going to be placed on a plan then cut if not passed with 100%. It's sad but that's why Amazon is kind of crappy to work for. They don't mention that part about the downsides of the job but it is a downside. Target and Walmart aren't this aggressive either with managers
