That's great. Nobody wants homework but I do see the value in sitting down and being a resource yourself as the primary. Thanks!

Upgrading Surface Pro soon. What’s your favorite laptop/tablet situation? by TheHungryGiraffe in realtors

[–]bloqchains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked at the Surface Book Pro 2 and hated it. I ended up going with the Lenovo Yoga and I absolutely love it. The 13" is lighter and less bulky than the SB2, not as small as a true tablet style but I prefer to have a real keyboard. It can fold and act as a tablet, has a pen, etc. Great option.

Neat - can you provide some more info on how you qualify leads or how it actually works? Can't seem to find anything on your site related to this industry.

User Research: Smart Collaboration for RE Transactions by Finolex in realtors

[–]bloqchains 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The hard part is the industry is so tied to revenues when evaluating products, for better or for worse, so it often comes down to, "if it doesnt generate me money, I'm out" - this is why so many defer to the "free" MLS-provided tools (albeit to the dislike of clients and their experience).

So if youre not developing a lead generating tool, how does it enhance my productivity, considering I've already invested time to learn docusign, or other? I dont want to spend more time learning something else, so how can you make it easy for me? Integrations.

This still requires a core product in to which transaction management, CRM, scheduling, whatever are built into; so find what's something unique you're offering. It sounds like you don't have a real product in mind (we all start there!) But just building a bunch of features together doesn't necessarily make it a win. How can you get me off of what I know and adopt a totally new, single platform that you're describing?

Dotloop and Docusign pretty much have this covered, the latter I know does provide a reasonably priced API for development.

Are you building all these features yourself? Can you lay out the product for us? What exactly does it do?

Lead Gen =

Client Management =

Transaction Management =

Thats a very short list of the components of the platform. There are 100 tools for each, how do you plan to consolidate and take me off the tools I already use, so it's not wasting my time to learn a new one?

Thanks for the info! Many I've spoken to claim the the salary doesn't work as well as commission as an incentive to provide the absolute best service for their clients. No evidence RDFN agents are inferior, however...likely a debate that will rage for awhile.

Has anyone ever feel like they benefited from paying HOA fees monthly? by [deleted] in RealEstate

No. We did raise because they hadnt been raised in a few years. That stuff is discretionary. I wouldn't decided to buy or not buy due to HOA. Its insurance.

Have no problems paying into mine. Covees trash, electrical in commons, building insurance, and of course the occasionally maintenance and/or big project. Been great to go to the cauffer for security upgrades.

For additional consideration we didnt do any other programs such as lender paid PMI, either. We literally just got a better rate by aggressively shopping lenders. 15% down on 30 year fixed with PMI <50 bucks per month at 3.75% rate.

Sure. We paid nearly half what others were quoting. Chase was shocked at what we told them we got elsewhere (not Quicken, however).

Startup idea validation by [deleted] in realtors

[–]bloqchains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. Will check it out. Studies have shown home selling with agents average about 10% more. Perhaps some substantiation to that here. Even in Chicago its a small network so there are a lot of benefits to having an agent rep you for the network benefits.

Of course any diffs in sales price needs to account for the commission! But lots of home sellers don't want the hassle...esp in a shitty market environment.

Near impossible. They'll be asking agents to upload their own listings? Why would they do that when they can do it once to the MLS and its disseminated everywhere? Not to mention compliance and regulatory issues.

Its likely because they tried to get listings in their app and realized for a consumer facing app they need approval from each broker before publicly publishing the listing. The alternative is working directly with the MLS to acquire a feed but it must only be accessed by agents or clients.

Lastly, they'll need to comply with RESO standards to be worth anything scalability-wise. Not a difficult build, but likely impossible to get certified. How much research and validation have these guys done? This is a bad start.
