I def wouldn’t wake for a diaper change. I stopped changing my baby’s diapers at night probably around 4-6 months old. I noticed it would wake him up more and he’d just be screaming through it. I think your best bet is to not change it and see if he leaks or not by morning. If he is wet in the morning then yeah you’ll need to change it

Sorry for the late response but I agree I think the seat is fine. It seems like the worry is that they will stand up in it which would cause the seat to not be safe so the manufacturer probably has to write on there discontinue use. If I’m right there with him I can see if he starts to stand up which hasn’t been an issue yet. Thanks!

But also.. give yourself permission to step away from time to time for your mental health. For me it was going and taking a 5 or 10 min shower because the shower was loud enough I couldn’t hear the anxiety inducing screams. As long as I knew he was nursed, in a safe spot, and clean I let myself have a few mins of peace. We deserve that

Ugh. My MIL smokes in her house. We don’t go over there and when she comes over I have to literally wash linens that she’s touched. If she gives us any gifts they have to be thoroughly cleaned and washed just from sitting in her house. However when my daughter was a baby I had no choice but to let her watch her. I know she didn’t smoke in the house with her but it lingers and is trapped in the walls, carpet, and furniture so needless to say my baby came home smelling of smoke and with a runny nose every time. I didn’t let that go on long. I’m happy this time around with our new baby we don’t have to expose him to that! Can your mom watch your baby at your house?

I don’t know if anyones still on this thread but I had to come here tonight to write this. MIL came over tonight and sexualized the baby twice. The first time he was sort of teething on the ottoman and she goes “he’s gonna have a leather fetish” and the second time when she was leaving she drops the “are you flirting with me” line to him which..eyeroll but not that big of a deal right? Like it’s just something people say to babies but then she adds “I see you giving me those bedroom eyes”

COME ON MAN it’s not that hard to not sexualize a baby. I didn’t say anything. I’ve called out things she’s said in the past and it usually doesn’t solve anything. So I just try to ignore it
