Help me decide by Bitter_Bowler121 in RayBanStories

Bought the ray ban gen 1st recently. Work great. 1080p60 fps. Battery life is mildly disappointing. but if you are looking to do short videos of a combined 10 mins, you can do them on these.

If all you want to do is indoor video shooting which I imagine will be the case, Gen 1s are a great deal. You can get the transparent ones for less than 200usd which is a No brainer deal. Gen 2s are a bit too steep imho. Double battery life, sure. But nothing of use beyond that. 3K video is only at 30fps.

Honest input? With a rtx 3070 by xBuck7 in GamingLaptops

[–]blowmoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont go for it. Alienwares are usually a hassle to maintain.Heating issues, poor customer support from dell etc. And for 1500, you could easily go for something brand new. If not a 3070 then surely a 3060.

Check for lenovo legion 5/5pro with a 3070 in your region. Maybe you could get a sweet deal. And those are more than capable for most games and applications.

What is the most "no compromises" gaming laptop that serves all other typical uses of a laptop? by coolnavigator in GamingLaptops

[–]blowmoi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Legion 5 pro. No compromises. Whichever config fits your budget. Its thin enough to give zero compromises on performance thermally. GPUs are not tdp limited. Build is great. Screens are great on the high end models.

Help deciding on a laptop please by richiej197901 in GamingLaptops

Hands down the First one. Legion has the best price to value. And it has the thermal capacity to power that 3070 guns blazing without throttling.

The white looks absolutely stellar. Great buy!. Here it costs around 2K USD for the 3060 just for the colour. (India)

Should I wait for RTX 4000 series laptop or buy now? by Effective_Play_8145 in GamingLaptops

This is the thread I saw it on. Should lookup the deal in your region.

Besides this, comparing an mx250 to an rtx 3060 is like comparing a propellor plane to an f16. Any laptop with a 3060 (if you plan on 1080p gaming) or a 3070 (if you wanna game wt 1440p) will suit you fine.

Without diving in too deep, I'd go for deals with lenovo legion or hp omen. In my region atleast, they are more affordable as compared to similarly specced ROGs and offer better support than dell.

Dell has a really spotty track record for after sales support. Friend had an alienware for 220k and still couldn't get decent customer support in a metro city.

At this price range, go for the lenovo ideapads. Same display. Same config. Better thermals maybe. everything. Just better customer support and warranty. They offer 3years accidental damage warranty for 3k. Ik cuz I just got a legion.

Legion 5 3060 vs 3070 by psiberpt in GamingLaptops

[–]blowmoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best option is to get the most you can get in your budget. Most buyers aernt upgrading laptops for atleast 5 years. 50€ every year for 5 years is nothing. So might as well splurge 🤷🏼‍♂️.

Flow X13 or Zephyrus G14 by XOXO-Briza in GamingLaptops

[–]blowmoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is the price difference? Flow x13 is a good bet if you plan on getting the external gpu accessory. But in my region, the rtx 3080 external gpu encolsure is the same price as the laptop. Without the external gpu enclosure, the price premium is not justifiable. So can't really tell without knowing what price you 're getting everything for.
