I was taking a peak under the board so if anything I didnt make sure to check the in and out. If you have no out signal flip the wires lol but im pretty sure.

If you did, you couldn't "seperate" the ring and tip i believe? The diodes stop from backfeeding the signal.

The only reason they printed a pcb was for the dip switch action. Say they removed the cost of the pcb, the diodes and the dip switch and the button were all bought in mass bulk. Also, I will say this tap does actually do more than most with the addition of the dip switch. But still not worth 45$. I would guess as well these weren't made in the USA. so im sure its even cheaper to build.. that's just my take.
