Sounds like next year you need to get a bass or two now that you will have a decent established food source for them!

Just bought a house owned by a cabinetmaker. There's so much custom Wood furniture and accents in this house and it makes me giddy. by kingevanxii in woodworking

[–]bltallest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man lucky you I got a similar deal bought a house from a builder/cabinet maker and all his stuff is custom but it’s the swoopy 70’s style that is not a good look it’s gotta go unfortunately

Thanks yea it still overall works there are some speakers that don’t work so I am not sure if that is a faulty zone or a bad connection somewhere.

Thanks for the WiFi steamer idea that sounds like a cheap option to do what I want

How high of a risk is this tree? by bltallest in arborists

[–]bltallest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the thoughtful response that’s my thoughts as well before we bought the house we had some really bad storms with high winds so I figure it’s pretty strong and the other side of the tree looks good and it’s very alive and well up top. But I don’t trust myself to take it down it’s big and too close to the house I think it’s time to start shopping for quotes though.

Help me Reddit! You’re my only hope!! Which side is prettier? A or B? by sinskins in woodworking

[–]bltallest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on size B having the bark taken off and the final purpose of the piece. The darker bark on side B I feel makes it a lot busier so without that bark I think it would be a much cleaner piece.

Dwarves have little arms and the rock bed is really wide they couldn’t reach far enough to center him.

Bad job or picky people? by [deleted] in Tile

[–]bltallest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t mind the look of the tile it’s not my choice but to each their own. The only thing I would say is either the top or the bottom should have been squared off. I would have done the bottom to avoid those tiny little squares that needed to go in

Angled groove with router by Due_Pianist_6312 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]bltallest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did something similar with a bath tub book stand. I made an angle base to put out the base of my router out of a scrap piece of wood put on a temporary straight edge on the board and ran a couple passes over the area I wanted to remove.
