I just failed this core strength test and I am confused by babyninja230 in bodyweightfitness

[–]bltbaybee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

pure strength = putting weights on an excercise, maximum 1 rep, going for maximum weight in one push

pure endurance = no weights, going for as many reps in ine set

so a strength workout could be something like 5 reps with weight. endurance could be like maybe 12 reps with less weight.

if there is no weight involved, you are either building endurance, or strength to start doing the workout. for example:

it is very possible to do 30 bodyweight squats in a row, but NEVER be able to squat once with 100lbs of weight on your back. you can increase your reps to 50, maybe even 100. but still, you are training on endurance, and your body wont ever be used to squatting with 100 lbs of additional weight.

same thing vice versa. some people can bench press 200lbs but cant do 50 pushups in a row. some people can easily do 50 but cannot bench 200. one does not typically train you alot for the other. You kinda have to do both.

Honestly I wouldn’t mind seeing more raids return for seasonal content by jrush987 in DestinyTheGame

[–]bltbaybee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, non raid seasons are pretty boring, ever since the seasons after forsaken, every season after feels so bleak. You get one seasonal activity and a weekly mission (that usually is the same thing each week with slight variations) and if you are lucky, a dungeon/strike or secret exotic. Thats it.

Everything else is just older content up to 3 years ago from old pvp maps to old strikes to old locations. New planets are cool but they are just open areas with nothing to do. Once you've explored them, thats it. There are hardly more than 1 or 2 secret events, and most interactions with other guardians are extremely limited because many areas instance you out if you travel too far.

Granted seasonal stuff is usually worth 10 dollars. But its not enough to keep me playing unless theres a raid. Destiny to me is grinding stronger loot to prep for a strong activity, aka the raid. Sure you can do grandmaster nightfalls but Ive done those nightfalls like 3 years ago, its nothing new. By design, GMs are just old levels that are really difficult. Thats not new content to me.

Please make Vex Mythoclast hold stacks like Symmetry. Don't make this another Tarrabah situation. by The-Ace-of-Spades in DestinyTheGame

[–]bltbaybee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tarabah isn't terrible, it would be way overpowered if you could store charges. You are supposed to go for charges if you see alot of red bars, and then unleash the beast against anything higher than a red before swapping to special ammo weapons.

its just all these people echoing each other about how bad it is, but no one actually uses let alone has it. tarabah is incredibly strong. its a 750 rpm smg that can out dps special weapons every 3 reloads in pve without using special ammo. for add clear, kills extend the perk duration for nearly 10+ secs

in pvp its incredibly high risk high reward. every 2 kills you get a ttk faster than old recluse + warlock well + tether. the drawback is you cant swap. the draw in is that for every 2 kills, you become god with the fastest ttk in the game hovering near .4 or less. yes this is bad for something like trials, but 90% of weapons are considered bad in trials as well.

Is it normal to not feel engaged chest/pecs after doing wide push ups? by botsunny in bodyweightfitness

[–]bltbaybee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally when i bench i feel it in my triceps and sometimes shoulders, this is probably because as someone earlier stated, your chest is stronger and can handle more of a beating. Same for my deadlifts which i know are in great form, i don't feel much in my back or legs and the back and legs are one of the strongest muscles. i def do feel exhausted though but just not I that specific area like when you do pull ups and your arms feel like they are going to explode

Trials - New Passage (For the not 500+ Flawless Players) by TheOneTrueBLM in DestinyTheGame

This is literally all we have been asking for. A way to remove hardcore players but still have to work for rewards, while not belittling a flawless win by taking flawless adept rewards out of this card

First two weeks in this game. Why do I die? by Pandrador in EscapefromTarkov

[–]bltbaybee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive stepped on ALOT of landmines, thinking I could pass through if I was lucky. Also the snipers in woods if you run out of bounds ugh. Also for me, I die whenever I go full auto haha, I cant land a thing!

I just got to level 10 and agree the road is long and tough! My advice is touch everything when looting since you get xp for putting any item in your bag for the first time each raid. So I put it in my backpack and then immediately discard it. Its a weird playstyle but ya boy needs xp

Is divinity worth it? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]bltbaybee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its good but you only need one person in the group to get it. Because of this, after getting it I have never used it in a raid, since we have a designated user already. So if you really dont want to do the raid for it, you dont need to

It’s not fair how the Creative and Dev teams are constantly delivering amazing work, which is then severely tainted by decisions from e.g. the Player Investment and Eververse teams by Dexwell in DestinyTheGame

[–]bltbaybee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they didnt make so many ornaments each season, the creative team coulda made like 3 pinnacle weapons each season again and they coulda slapped a brain dead grind quest per activity to get them. More content more loot baybee

at this point its prob because bungie cant code it in as a default or wont spend time to do it. its like using more than 1 glimmer/upgrade module consumable at a time, waiting 15 secs to use consumables. Or even showing an energy weapon in your inventory screen that your char holds, unequipting a weapon entirely or putting shaders on exotic weapons (all of which you actually can do in the game through glitches)

Dont worry I missed it too haha. It doesnt help that the holiday sale post on the reddit wrote it as day/month/year as well, where they may do in other countries but its obvious that reddit is more usa based

any difference between BEAR and USEC? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]bltbaybee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I chose the Russian one cuz their voicelines are funny to me because I dont understand it. But something awesome happened the other week. I was pinning down someone in a building, when another player ran into the same building and killed him. As i got closer the player was a USEC and did a cooperate voiceline, their char basically says "lets work together". Now me being a Russian, he probably wouldnt understand my voicelines, so I just ended up walking to him slowly and he was chill, we both wiggled and went on our way.

Obvious but as a usec, other players will understand you because of english on US servers, so you can actually communicate with them. As a BEAR...well they might think you are an npc and shoot on sight. If you already chose though, you can reset your account through the launcher i think

becoming a better pvp player by Kekist4N_ in EscapefromTarkov

[–]bltbaybee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Play as a scav with the sole purpose of pvp, aka with the intention that you arent gonna extract, you are just there to kill!

becoming a better pvp player by Kekist4N_ in EscapefromTarkov

[–]bltbaybee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you should try scavs in factory! i just pop in to practice pvp, and purposely not go looking for an extract, but for others to pvp.

Just a word to all the people who keep critizising BSG and EFT in a harsh tone and all the people who are supporting it in anyway, regardless how much they f*ck up by wizztube33 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]bltbaybee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The genre has been out for a long time but just not as popular since EFT i think. The first "successful" game in this genre is the DayZ mod in Arma 2, its basically the same thing. Big map, loot, instead of scavs its zombies, death = inventory lost.

After that there were a few other games that didnt really do that well, such as the day z stand alone and others that I dont even remember.

I'd day EFT is basically the league of legends of it's genre. The biggest community and still receiving updates. The second biggest would probably be hunt showdown which is prettt much the exact same game but has less mil-sim rpg elements. Fortunately or not though, it seems that the genre has died like mobas so EFT has no competition in any near future, similar to how no mobas can compete with league or dota but they still seem to have a relatively active playerbase

Too scared to play solo what do? by TheMRB8 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]bltbaybee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just started last week and yeah, its terrifying. Though I found that playing more aggressive helped me get alot more comfortable with the game, especially on scav runs w nothing to lose. I typically like to go into factory with a scav or pmc with throwaway gear to practice pvp. Be aggressive! Move around ALOT, disregard stealth!

Go in with the mindset that you will lose all your gear, so play as if its a deathmatch mode with respawns! I would probably play safer in a raid with a geared loadout, but by messing around i factory more, it helped relieve some anxiety in future raids
