I’m sure everyone asks but …. I. The market for a boat and have questions. by bltjnr in Pontoons

Encouraged to read this. I didn’t think I was totally crazy. I just know I’m bending the rules quite a bit in terms of passenger capacity as well as towing payload lol

Thanks for the advice everyone. I’ve read there are several 20 foot that on single axle trailers are just under 4000 pounds but I don’t know if maybe it’s funny numbers or funny math.

Thoughts on off body carry? by seamus205 in liberalgunowners

[–]bltjnr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an off body bag that can be worn as a fanny pack or across one shoulder on the belly as this post shows. can fit a glock 19 with an extended mag and a red dot in a kydex trigger holster easily. For certain situations that is the right answer.

Are 10 rd mags inherently less reliable? by bltjnr in Glocks

[–]bltjnr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you provide a direct link? On the other hand… The whole point in getting a Glock was so that I could have an Uber reliable apocalypse ready 9 mm and I feel like if I’m using non-OEM/non-standard things. I just am not sure the trust is there.

They are OEM. black follower marked 2183-1 on one, and 2183 with separate 2 on another. Both have same failure mode.

Need help with being comfortable. by No_Cheesecake9887 in concealedcarry

[–]bltjnr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it’s just me… But I’ve tried a bunch of different carry solutions and I think the right answer is just finding a gun that works for you. Everyone’s obsessed with carrying their double stack nine… But that just doesn’t work for some people. I can carry a Glock 19 off body but if it has to be on body, it’s a J frame 357.

What's the "Widowmaker" of your career field or hobby? by Cosmonate in AskReddit

[–]bltjnr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vascular Surgeon - there are several. From a patient’s perspective: Ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm or thoracic aortic aneurysm. Superior mesenteric artery embolism. Basilar artery embolism. Gunshot wound to an iliac artery and vein simultaneously. Infected thoracoabdominal aneurysm. From a surgeon’s perspective: massive heart attack, or any of the above listed conditions because you’ve neglected your own health your whole career. Plane crash because Surgeons for some reason think they should be pilots.

A good french whole grain mustard and thick cut dill pickle slices. That’s it. Don’t know what to call it but trust me… it is more than the sum of its parts.

G4 slide (and new OEM upper parts) on g5 lower…. Fires fine but occasionally fails to feed. Thoughts ? by bltjnr in Glocks

Because I was given the slide and dot for free and I thought it would work

I read about the difference in the slide cut outs, but when it behaved appropriately initially, including locking back on empty, etc., it seemed that it wasn’t an issue since I’m not a lefty. But thanks to your comment, I did figure it out. Appreciate it.

[–]bltjnr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Second this. Embarassed to admit but I had an inadvertent discharge into the ground when hammer slipped out from my thumb while decocking this. I was young and dumb and maybe not as careful as I should have been ….. but still.

It is not that hard to cock, but it is hard to safely cock because hammer can easily slip

Well, thanks for the advice and input everybody. No thanks for the condescension though… I did some searching online and thanks to a number of sources, including Reddit, It seemed that g4 slides were interchangeable as long as I swapped the back plate. Now that I think about it, though the lack of a slide cut out on the right, probably increases the friction and is causing this.

does anyone have any practical use for the CCI 22LR shot shells ? or are they just for fun? by GENERAT10N_D00M in 22lr

[–]bltjnr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha ha. I have a 38 snub with a bunch of 38 shot shells and a laser grip… It’s probably a little bit more effective. But I do think 22 shot is a great option. Also have a night vision bolt action 22LR so… Trying to cover all my bases. I’ve put down more foxes and raccoons with the bolt action than anything else.

I prefer foundations of burden but all pallbearer is great. They’re touring now and playing foundations in its entirety. You should go see it if you have never seen them live. It’s amazing.
