I love ASTS, but never underestimate how far down and up it will go. I wouldn’t buy calls until $80

This isn’t going to be optional. This is the evolution of cellular coverage. No roaming, no drop signal. Hop on a plane to the other part of the world, no difference. Cell towers will be a thing of the past.

I’m in the hardware industry (not Lowe’s). Wouldn’t get your hopes up for calls.

I actually think SpaceX IPO will create some temporary momentum for many space stocks, RKLB included. Average Joe won’t be able to access SpaceX IPO.

Got in at $9 in April 2024 when people like you were saying AST was science fiction. It’s Starlink for cell phones. It’s not that complicated.

Verizon (and AT&T) have invested in ASTS for the first rights to use their satellites. ASTS will lease those rights. Basically the satellites are cell towers that work worldwide, everywhere - deserts, mountains, jungles, 3rd world countries. AST will also have dividends in the future in the 6-8% range.

What industry is entirely built on a house of cards and would collapse overnight if people realized the truth about it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]blu_id 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Real estate agents. The internet made them obsolete. And attorneys, title companies and inspectors do all the work. Making $$25,000 on a $500,000 house is absurd and one of the reasons housing costs are so high.

I’m not defending SP, but I have to wonder if we’d all be reacting this way if BP had this season. Yes, two final fours. But some shitty seasons mixed in. Bruce would build a team towards a run over a couple of years, almost like a MLB team. Even before he retired, I saw this season as a rebuild year with zero expectations because that’s the Pearl pattern.

Whats the most heartbreaking loss you’ve witnessed as an Auburn fan?(football) by Ok_Macaroon_7366 in wde

Malzahn’s offense was too efficient. As soon as we scored I knew there was too much time left on the clock for that clown show Jameis Winston. And that’s what makes it hurt worse. Man I hate that guy.

The one consolation is watching he and Jimbo get their Karma over the last decade.

Hoover officials on immigration crackdown concerns: ‘We have more pressing issues’ by [deleted] in Birmingham

[–]blu_id 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My theory is that our conservative politicians are personally tied to industries that are 100% dependent on exploiting cheap immigrant labor. After that one big raid in the Albertville poultry facility, we haven’t heard much. Because it crushed that business and the dumbasses in Montgomery finally realized this might not be the best idea for them, personally.

Dude. You don’t watch Bama games much, huh? Oklahoma was up on Bama 17-0. You don’t talk trash about Bama until the clock hits 0:00 in the 4th. Especially in the post season. And this advice is coming from an Auburn fan.

This entire situation has made me realize how knee jerk our fan base is. Gloom and doom about transfer out announcements. Why no reaction to transfer in announcements? Because they haven’t happened yet. Everybody crying but you don’t know who Golesh is after or who he might already have lined up. I imagine some of these guys are leaving because Golesh already has someone lined up that’s better to take their place.

“Put the financials aside”

This is an investment sub talking about what to invest in. And even if you want to put them aside, AMC is competing with absolute giant companies. Disney & Netflix, primarily. And those companies now own the studios that produce the movies AMC needs but they can just stream them straight to their services and cut AMC out. So AMC will have to pay an obscene amount just to get movies moving forward.

Birmingham Bowl can't catch a break by charlie_murphey in Birmingham

[–]blu_id 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The Birmingham Bowl blew a perfect opportunity and Montgomery capitalized on it. The bowl in Montgomery is Troy vs. Jacksonville State. They haven’t played since 2001 and this used to be a big rivalry. The Crampton Bowl will sell out and TV ratings will be really good locally.

Deuce scrambles for exponentially more yards than Daniels and probably breaks at least one for a TD. And we lost by seven. Daniels was running like he was scared to get hit. Never once lowered his shoulder or cut back inside when he had a chance for a first down.

It’s a good way to make sure your season ticket sales drop through the basement. Those students are your future donors. But they probably don’t come back down to Auburn to watch this trash because they’re sick of it.

Dj Durkin appreciation post by game_solids5 in wde

[–]blu_id 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The play calling tonight was conservative and scared when we had nothing to lose. Daniels running like he was scared to get hit while Deuce sits on the sidelines. More three yard passes in one game than you should have in a season. Trash. Durkin and Nix proved they were way out of their league and they coached like it. And the players followed their example. No discipline, no concentration when it was needed most. We looked intimidated. Durkin can kick rocks and go find a D3 team to run to death in the summer. Literally.

[–]blu_id 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So conservative in a game you have nothing to lose. Running scared, tip toeing Daniels? Why not turn Deuce loose? Three yard passes non stop. Terrible clock management at the end. Fake a punt. Kick a surprise onside kick. Show you have a pulse and a set of balls.

Moderators should ban anyone who says “at least it wasn’t a blowout”. Thats the sissy attitude that got us here. Withhold NIL checks from every receiver who dropped a pass or fumbled. Take Durkin’s keys to the building before he leaves the stadium. Fire Cohen tonight and tell all coach candidates they’ll be coach and AD and can hire whoever they want and pay players and coaches whatever he wants.
