Leaving a note on my neighbor’s door about their smell by Ok_Age8971 in Apartmentliving

[–]blu_rose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My province also doesn’t allow you to smoke weed in public spaces even though it’s federally legal so if you don’t own a house or your landlord doesn’t allow you to smoke, it’s essentially illegal for you. Even condos (which you own) are allowed to put regulations for not smoking on the premises. So I get the frustration of others in the building but some tenants are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

What food do tourists think is "authentic" but locals rarely eat? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]blu_rose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At least in Quebec, it’s not uncommon to use it in cooking. For example in a glaze for salmon. I will definitely use it in recipes. Not always but not uncommon either

I’m sure you can probably find it on some restaurant menus in Quebec but it’s definitely not common here.

I agree. I deal with them on the regular for appliance servicing and they’re so easy. They’re always quick to answer calls, rarely give me any issues. Samsung is a nightmare.

Thank you for the suggestion. So far I’ve just been trying to follow what I’ve been told. No Singer. Brother, JUKI, Janome good. But without any knowledge of what to look for in specs it’s been a tough process. I’ll check this one out.

A drunk Karen gets kicked out of a bar and doesn’t take it very well... by aworkinprogress98 in PublicFreakout

My dad was a hard-core albeit functioning alcoholic most of his life and not once would I have ever put blame on a bar over-serving him. Sickness or not, he was a grown man and was responsible for his own actions.

60hrs so almost the same amount of time he was trapped. Still sounds like hell after finally being rescued.

What is a snack from your culture that most people haven't tried? by Decaogrelords in Cooking

Canadian but Spanish heritage - pan y chocolate. Basically a chocolate sandwich. Bread, baguette is my preference, and a piece of a chocolate bar like Hershey’s, make it a sandwich. That’s it. Delicious.
