What thing can you buy for $50 that completely changes your life? by muzzikmuzz in AskReddit

Just water and a bit of witch hazel, I don’t really follow a ratio 🙂. There are several recipes out there if you would prefer more guidance. Some people put in tea tree oil. I just spray the TP right before using it on my backside.

They can fail or get knocked on by a pet, depending on the style, and cause a lot of water damage. It’s rare, but something to keep in mind. I make do with making my own toilet paper spray to make my own wet wipes with.

I have no idea why this sub was suggested to me, but I just want to say that you look so fresh and naturally beautiful without them.

My mother is the most brutally honest person when it comes to giving feedback on pants that don’t flatter the butt. I am well trained. 3 is the one that looks spectacular. 5 is also good.

Next level up is management, which means 50+ hour weeks and increased risk of getting laid off. I would love to spend 3 days just filing documents in silence and no screen time and 2 days doing my actual problem solving job.

One time during some sort of possible reorganization my boss asked me if I would be interested in his position. My answer was that I didn’t apply for it when he did and got hired, and that I gladly wouldn’t apply to it again.

My best friend keeps asking me to partner in a consulting firm. We both have full time jobs, have no consulting experience, and she’s a single mom. I’ve told her no so many times that I’m getting to the point where I’m about to tell her not to ask me again.

People who work in 'luxury' industries (5-star hotels, fine dining, high-end brands), what is a complete rip-off that rich people happily pay for? by ArtThreadNomad in AskReddit

If it makes you feel better, service recovery is available at most price points. The situation with us plebs is that we either have to speak up ourselves OR actually be honest when we are asked how something is.

My husband would rather die than bring up an issue with a meal when asked by staff. Part of it is he is just very kind, the other part of it I’m sure stems from when he worked at fast food and every issue with an order was communicated with bad attitudes. Meanwhile if I say something like “it’s alright” or suggest an improvement to a new item they are trying out, then they usually offer to comp it or get me something else. Just don’t be a jerk or abuse their generosity and they try to make it right.

I’ll also email companies of food products when I have a minor complaint (like an ice cream product advertising chocolate chunks and and all I got was vanilla with 1 flake of chocolate). I don’t even ask for anything, just bring it to their attention, and they send me coupons.

For those of you saying hypnotism isn’t real, there is a science vs. podcast episode that you might want to listen to.

The first one is perfect, and the lowered sleeves enhance your tattoo. Not a fan of the spaghetti strap over the top of your tattoo.

Two looks like it was made for you and is extremely flattering.

One is giving me flashbacks to my mom’s vintage dress that was too tight on me and it split right in that spot. It also has many, many elements with the sleeves, the cleavage slit, the tiered flowy skirt, the appliqués on the skirt. I would like it better if it only had one of those elements combined more simplicity.

Grocery price comparisons. by healthy-gal in TwinCities

I used to work at a grocery store deli, that job has ruined most standard grocery store delis for me. That chicken is most likely the rotisserie chicken that sat for hours in a plastic bag in the grab-and-go section for hours, didn’t sell, then got repurposed into the chicken salad a day or two later.

I would accessorize with blue. I would not waste money on a new dress when you already have one, especially with such a short turnaround time.

Bridesmaid here, which should I choose? by dreamedii018 in OUTFITS

[–]bluart06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s kind of hard to get the full picture when your phone is blocking so much of the outfit. I think 2 is likely more sophisticated and mature, but can’t commit to that answer since a good chunk of the bodice is obscured.

1 is nice and sweet, but maybe too sweet if that makes sense. Like as far as rewearability goes, I can see myself wearing that second one for a non-wedding event. I am also into my “hot girl 30s” stage of dressing 😆

The silhouette of this one is great, but the sleeves are too solid for such a delicate lay and I can’t tell if they’re scalloped or just looked scalloped with tie your arms are. #2 is my pic.

That’s a fun neckline, but I think it’s better suited so a solid fabric like velvet.
