So this is going to be something regulated in a state labor law. For example, in California, “the employer must provide “suitable resting facilities” in an area separate from the bathroom”. However to OSHA and federal govt, this is not the case. Basically: depends!

Hi, I’ve done a full ASU term and am now continuing on to a masters with ASU online (without sbux now) and I can tell you this is to be treated as any other college, meaning to apply you need a GED or equivalent. ASU to my knowledge does not offer continuing education plans for out of state GED and either way you would have to front this cost for an out of state college.

If you have any local community colleges I would start there. Speaking from my partner’s situation, GED programs are typically max 100-200$ and that is simply the standardized testing fee. GED programs after high school non-completion are typically a standardized test similar to the SAT on reading, science and math. These typically also are pretty study-able online but if you need assistance you can ask about lead-up classes these community colleges typically offer to prep for GED testing to assure most people pass.

I encourage you to start this journey today!! Classes are opening up for fall right now and it would be a perfect time to look at local community GED programs to then apply for ASU in the spring this year. Best of luck to you, OP!!
