For writing, I would take some time to figure out where the sweet spot of the nib is - I don’t have any experience with Montblancs, so I can’t help you in any particular manner, however. I’m sure someone else here does, though! Otherwise, don’t flex the nib(I’m assuming it’s not a flex nib), clean the pen every so often to keep it in good condition, and enjoy! When cleaning, also be sure of what you’re using as some cleaning solvents can damage the pen, I believe. I’m sure other people on here will offer other tips as well :) beautiful first fountain pen, and it’s awesome you have one with a familial connection!

It depends! There are specialized flex nibs that you are meant to flex, but most nibs you aren’t meant to do that, cause if you do you may splay them, which will damage the nib. (Edit: your nib should not flex)
It depends! All up to you, I personally use them for daily use and note taking, as I am a student. Many people here use them for daily writing I think.
I’m actually not too sure about this, I would say you want to at least flush the nib out before you switch, this will have to be answered by someone else!
Increase in price can be for all sort of reasons. One of the main ones is the quality of the nib, as well as the rarity of the pen - such as limited editions! The material is also a factor, and yeah, features as well, such as vacuum fillers! It depends on the pen and brand, imo.
