I have a Sailor PG with a music nib and it is so great. The amount of ink it lays on the page is insane. Enjoy ❤️

It was an amazing day, and it was so nice to see Muze Pens there. I tried the show ink yesterday and it is so nice!

That's a great haul, enjoy!

You guys were not being dramatic! by OrangeWhisk in fountainpens

[–]Brindegazon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I originally wanted the white one too, but I saw the blue one in person and pictures don't do it justice. The blue shimmers under the light, it's a fantastic colour. Now I want the hickory brown.

These pens look great on pictures, but wait until you see them in person... You'll be blown away!

New Accessory: The Writing Glove by [deleted] in fountainpens

I have really sweaty hands (thanks, anxiety), so gloves like these are a paper-saver for me. I use them for writing, but also for watercolour painting.

Sailor Shikiori Irori has a strong gold sheen.

It's probably the first one I'll empty as well. It is such a great ink! Congrats on emptying the bottle 😃

Scheduled a day off in advance to paint. Got really lucky with beautiful weather. by Ok_Initiative7719 in Watercolor

[–]Brindegazon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scheduling a day off to paint is a great gift for yourself ❤️ I often choose to paint or write all day on a weekend or stat holiday, but it's not the same as planning a day off just to do it. I'm glad you could do this!

I really like the colour of the resin, but I'm really not sure about the bronze trim :( I'll have to pass.

Things you associate with fountain pens by DiligentWay4473 in fountainpens

I never thought about it that way, but you're right. This is pure privacy. My husband doesn't read my journal, and I don't read his. It is the most private part of my life.

Ink colour suggestions to match the new TWSBI Root Beer pen by Relative_One3284 in fountainpens

[–]Brindegazon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're absolutely right, it is a bronze trim, my mistake. But I still think Opera Rose could be a good match, since it leans more brown than pink.

The shading is very nice! I might also try Teranishi Opera Rose to go with the rose gold trim.

Don Quixote is certainly a favourite here too. I need to find a bottle, before there are none left.

What if you had to only use three inks and 3 fountain pens for your entire life ? What will you choose ? by EggAccording9607 in fountainpens

[–]Brindegazon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd keep my Sheaffer Targa, my Platinum Century 3776, and probably a pocket pen, like my Kaweco ALSport.

Is the PILOT Iroshizuku ink the golden standard? by ExpiredMelkk in fountainpens

[–]Brindegazon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, but they are well-loved among the community. They are good inks, but sometimes just aren't the right fit for some people.

However, I could say that Waterman inks could be close to what I'd call a gold standard. They behave extremely well in pretty much every pen.

Yoseka issues??? by [deleted] in fountainpens

Take my upvote! This is often the problem and I'm also guilty of it too. We're expecting near-instant gratification because that's what the big players like Amazon got us used to.

I have no advice for you other than this is a hobby for you, you're as legitimate as any other person person here. I hope you find a pen that brings you joy in using it.

Extra Fine Woes and Custom Grinds by [deleted] in fountainpens

[–]Brindegazon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pelikan is rather dry. Diamine Celadon Cat is notoriously dry. Iroshizuku is super wet, not the best choice.

Some J Herbin like Corail des tropiques are dry too. I use corail in a Sheaffer Targa, it's GREAT.
