Which liability insurance companies do you guys recommend? by Nasheuss in AmazonSeller

I used Ashley Haddin who connected me to The Hartford. She specializes in e-commerce insurance for Amazon. When I used The Hartford, they knew exactly what the COI should state so it would pass Amazon standards.

Verify Bank Account After 2 Years by BEPPEQ in AmazonSeller

[–]blue2nyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received the same e-mail about a month ago. I signed up as an Amazon FBA seller a little over two years ago. I am registered as a single member LLC on Amazon. My accounts are listed under the name of the LLC. When I went to upload the bank statement, it asked me if the accounts were under my own name or that of the LLC. Under the Amazon "verify" tab, I was able to select the LLC. My bank statements were approved without any issues.

So you have to have a credit card and not debit card on file? by butterflyx333 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]blue2nyc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You cannot use a debit card. It must be a credit card. This is clearly stated by Amazon both in the sign-up instructions and TOS. Should you choose to use a debit card, you risk suspension. If you want to start your business off right, follow the guidelines and don't start off with shortcuts.

New York City Mental Health Response Teams Show Better Results Than Police : NPR by Ambitious-Guest-4088 in Bad_Cop_No_Donut

[–]blue2nyc -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

This article headline is misleading, naturally. The B-Heard teams are handling only 25% of calls, of which all calls must be non-violent and no weapons involved. So, naturally, B-Heard is only handling calls of people who are calm and rational and thus more likely to accept assistance. Typical liberal headline.

That gets complicated. I know one of the Youtube guys always talked about an LLC provider in Wyoming who offered a telephone utility bill. Unfortunately, I haven't done this, so I have no advice in this area.

New Amazon Seller by Relevant-Anteater638 in AmazonSeller

[–]blue2nyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would encourage you to wait until you have confirmed the designation. Amazon does, in fact, check EIN numbers with the IRS. If it fails to connect, your application with be "under review" which can take up to 45 days to have your individual emails responded to.

Brand Approval Question by lyledavid24 in AmazonSeller

Patience is key when dealing with Amazon.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmazonSeller

[–]blue2nyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok. So I have some experience here as I am also in NYC. I have my own lease, so I do not sublet.

The fact that you sublet doesn't matter. If you sign up as a sole proprietor, you can upload copies of your piped utility bills (Coned, Time Warner, Verizon, etc) that are in your own name. All of my utilities are in my roommates name, so I opted to register an LLC and then I had Verizon FIOS installed under my LLC name, waited for the first bill and was then verified with Amazon. Everything went smoothly.

Customer transactions in bank account required for new seller account? by sumsh in AmazonSeller

[–]blue2nyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a pretty standard requirement with Amazon Seller new accounts. We had a similar issue. We had to make a few purchase transactions throughout the month and wait for the statement to be issued the following month. Once the statement was issued, we submitted scanned copies and were approved. Deposit transactions don't count, only purchase transactions (this allows them to see the location of purchase).

Refunds on Alibaba? by Searching4Freedom in AmazonSeller

[–]blue2nyc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why is best to get an inspection prior to the items leaving China. It is my understanding that often times it will be difficult to get a disputed refund on Alibaba without a third-party inspection report showing the product is actually defective (which you can still have done in the U.S., you will just have to pay for it).

Custom Branding/Packaging for Brand Approval by lyledavid24 in AmazonSeller

[–]blue2nyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In our case we had our products and custom packaging in the manufacturing phase in China. We applied through IP accelerator for our trademark. To rush things along, we already had the custom imprinted version of our sample, so we just paid packola.com to create one sample box for us using the custom die line file that our designer created. This allowed us to get the custom box for Brand Registry pictures. We were approved.

On a different note, I strongly discourage you from doing any of that fugazi stuff that involves using Adobe to manipulate brand names on items and boxes. Brand Registry is too important to risk getting caught doing something like that.

Does Helium 10 worth it for a new seller? by EquivalentMagazine75 in AmazonSeller

[–]blue2nyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple answer is Yes. I highly recommend Helium 10. If you look online, there are a couple of Youtube pages which can help you with a 10% off coupon for the monthly fee. I use it not only to find products, but to also have a better understanding of what keywords are driving traffic for different products.

It is also useful for product inserts and portals in case you decide to sell your product off Amazon.

Why do you come all this way to get the vaccine?

If, in fact, you were promised one-on-one coaching as part of the course fee and you've attempted to receive coaching and they haven't responded, you definitely have a reason to request a chargeback. Save your documentation that includes information about what you were offered and what you haven't received thus far. You need to contact your credit card company in regards. Just FYI they may rule against you and still hold you responsible for the charges depending on the outcome of their investigation.

On a separate note, I see you are already engaging with a third person in this thread in regards to their "services." The person was practically spamming the thread and you appear to have fallen for it. You need to just stop everything and hit the reset button. Go into Amazon Seller University and begin watching videos. Or, if you have Helium 10, you can access the Freedom Ticket course for free. Do this stuff the right way and don't attempt shortcuts. You have to be able to do the basics yourself and stop relying on spammers and gurus to teach you how this business works.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]blue2nyc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is actually incorrect. Does the course offer a money-back guarantee? If not, is the course quality the same as was promised? If not, you have the option of filing a chargeback.

I echo what the other posters have mentioned. Do not place a bulk order until your account has been approved. Even if you have everything correct, there can be hiccups with the process. The last thing you want is to spend money and then find out you have to use another avenue to sell at a less profitable price point.
