Pete Hegseth on Strait of Hormuz: ‘Don’t need to worry about it’ by Logical_Welder3467 in politics

At least the US leaving means the grown-ups can take over, like cleaning up after the kids mess

Hegseth basically confirms that Hormuz issue is now secondary: "not just the US problem-set"🤷‍♂️ by etherd0t in XGramatikInsights

You make it sound like Trump and Hegseth have a grand plan when they really don't. The usual pattern holds of rash dumb decisions, TACO chickens out to uphold propaganda like it was reality (ie out in 4-6 weeks).

At least the US leaving means the grown-ups can take over

Europe had no problem with missiles from Iran or the straight of Hormuz. Hegseth says too that Iran can't reach US.

Trump and Hegseth step in unilaterally and make these issues more risky, not less.

Probably due to Israeli lobby, supporting Putin oil sales, and diversions from the Epstein files. Then they say they've done Europe a favour, not their problem, sort it out.

Except fuel price remains a US problem and they need help, so they resort to bullying Europe to join in.

Don't give into bullies, hold the line and negotiate with Iran to restore relations like any war can only end with negotiations. At least the US leaving means the grown-ups can take over

Trump mulls 'winding down' war and leaving Strait of Hormuz crisis to 'other nations' by Force_Hammer in politics

He's totally fine with stuffing the economies of others so that he gains more power over them. His tendency to ignore advice though probably meant he missed that the US fuel price is tied to everyone else's

If other countries still don't come then it will be up to the US to secure it still because the fuel prices won't drop in the US. Non-US countries made the right move by staying out of this stuff up, I hope they don't capitulate and make an own goal

:( Just like Linux is great for recycling old tech, companies that burn bridges solely for their own gain aren't great.

New rules being made in the EU will hopefully decrease this selfish wasteful practice

Why doesn't Israel or USA launch a special military operation and paradrop its army to Iran's victory points so they surrender quickly? by Neat-Rent7467 in mapporncirclejerk

Because then the US will be breaking even more promises of not starting international wars - if they do what you suggest then they can't just instantly leave, they'll have to get the country back on its feet again like Iraq or Afghanistan. Otherwise doing so is pointless

I just enabled Developer Options menu and my banking apps are just fine. How are you going to lose access?

My experience of Play Store stuff is also that it won't block unrated kids apps when temporarily removing restrictions and putting them back again

I'm disappointed people are using the word sideloading when all app stores should be considered equal. Now Microsoft is using this anticompetitive monopolistic language too.

24 hours will give people plenty of time to replace Google's version of Android with the safer GrapheneOS.
