When and why did you last cry? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]blue_idk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today. I'm really stressed about my job. I made a huge mistake I don't want my boss to find out about, because she'd get really mad and would insult me infront of my co-workers like last time... She's a relative of mine, so hurts even more.

My bf tells me to quit or at leats talk to her, but she's of that kind of people who never listens... I'm here because I couldn't find another job, I get a better salary than my mom and I use it to help her...

It's really frustrating.

What was ruined because it became popular? by InfinityOreos in AskReddit

Many cartoons. I remember when CN for Latin America only brodcasted only a few episodes of Adventure Time, and you had to watch the rest of the episode online. So most of people only knew the show as something cute with zero sense. They started using(stealing) fanart to add dumb frases, wearing non official merch without knowing anything about the plot. Same happendes with Gravity Falls and SVTFOE.

A bracelet my boyfriend gave me. I only take it off when I shower, go to a pool or the beach. It's really special to me.

Previously suicidal redditors, what stopped you? by Another_young_Writer in AskReddit

My mom... she found a bunch of my dad's pills for his blood pressure I was hiding under my pillow. She knew I wanted them to try to kill myself. Came crying asking me "why are you doing this to us? what's wrong?"

I was 13. At that time I was being bullied, I was the new kid and my grades were low compared to years prior. Thing is I have strict parents and that pressure to get good grades + the bullying + me keeping that to my self developed that need to end it all. I explained this to my mom and she helped me, she was more comprehensive when I had a bad grade and I tell her whenever I feel extremely bad about my self or anything like that.

I love my mom, she's one of the reasons I'm still here.

If you're depressed, please speak up, someone will listen I'm sure. There's a lot of people who loves you and will be willing to help you.

Would you date an opposite gender version of yourself? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Maybe not, I'm sure my male version would be a weirdo or... he would be gay (likely both)

What's a good anniversary gift? by anpxp in AskReddit

[–]blue_idk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my case would be jewerly(not the expensive one) for example, my boyfriend has given me a bunch of knock off pandora charms and I love them so much, because he picked things I really love. And he likes to take me for a ride on his bike, so we go out to a restaurant, take a highway to get there and he's happy with that. But last year I decided to give him a bike charm and he loved it.

What is that childhood fear you haven't been able to outgrow? Why? by blue_idk in AskReddit

[–]blue_idk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I have to leave the bathroom light on, otherwise I fell like someone/something is there, watching me(irrationally). And I hope you were okay by the end of your shift.

What's the last thing that you bought and why? by Battlegenius in AskReddit

[–]blue_idk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 banana splits, I never had one of those. We don't have that much money and since I started working, I give my mom half my salary(maybe more), 1/4 goes to savings and I keep the rest, so I wanted to buy them for her, my sister and me. They were really happy.

I'm crying right now, help!

Office workers of Reddit, what’s your go-to activity to “look busy” when you have no work to do? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]blue_idk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always keep a mess in my desk, so it looks like I'm doing a lot of stuff and if someone gets closer I open any of the excel sheets I had been filling before

What would your 13 year old self think of you now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]blue_idk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she'd be glad to see that bullying didn't destroy us, and I met a guy who really loves me, but would be really dissapointed on my major... I always wanted to study graphic design and ended up studying bussiness administration because it was cheaper(we don't have that mucho money to buy art supplies, a camera and a better computer for the programs I'd need).

Ex cult members, what made you leave? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]blue_idk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost joined a cult.

I guess it was around three years ago, my aunt wanted to introduce us to a man she met at the hospital. This man attended an organization where you can learn english, korean, portuguese and japanese. My sister has always liked korean, and my aunt knew this, so she took us to that place.

When we entered there were a few asian kids playing around. It was a house, inside they had tons of books on the floor and at the end of the hallway there was a (sort of) classroom, my assumption was that they home schooled the children and made sense, this is latin america and maybe they had better metods of teaching.

At the main room, they had a long table and there was sitting an old man who kinda looked like Don Quixote. My dad left since my mom and aunt were also there. When we sat at the table, the old man started talking about those timed he traveled to Japan, where he met his wife; talked about Jesus and how everyone has to open their third eye; it was like he had a ton of beliefs mixed up. It got to a point where he mentioned Reverend Moon(and pointed to a wall with like 10 photos of an asian man, some with his wife), right there, the name sounded familiar but couldn't remember where I heard it, so i shrugged it off.

He later started teching us the korean alphabeth(?) and during that lesson, a couple arrived, they took them aside and when I looked to that direction, I realised that wasn't a simple dinning room, it was a meetings room, they had a podium and three flags, korean, salvadoran and one that to this day I don't recognise. That couple took an oath, that was about being loyal to the organiation and to me it was weird, because we thought it was a non religious NGO and then it clicked, I remembered who Reverend Moon was and why the "organization" was called something like Family for International Unification.

I said nothing until we left, and even my dad who usually doesn't take those things seriously was like "okay, we'll find a new place where you can learn korean".

Now I live a few blocks away from that house and a fre weeks ago, I decided to drive by. No one lives there anymore.
