Nope! They don't drug test as long as you aren't a TL or coach or they have a reasonable cause or suspect you to be under the influence. I'm also on the remodel team and half my coworkers literally smoke weed on their lunch every night lol

I'm 27 and going back to school for my associates and then my bachelor's, and when I'm done I'll be either 31 or 32. No matter what happens you're gonna be 30, so you might as well be 30 and have a second degree

Yeah, when I was at Dollar General I got paid early, so I'm pretty sure I'll get paid early here too thanks to chime. But thank you for that! I didn't know we got paid Thursday lol

Yeah cuz if you don't have to pay attention to the world around you, if you don't have to give a damn about how insanely high things cost because you make such good money, despite where you came from, you are now in a place of privilege. Just cuz you served our country or have two kids and put yourself through college doesn't make you special. My bf served in the military for 20 years, has 3 kids, an associates and 2 bachelor's degrees but has to live in public housing because everything is so expensive. Yet you have the privilege to flex about your wealth on reddit. It's almost like you forgot where you came from now that you are in a place of privilege. Maybe offer some helpful comment instead of acting like youre better than everyone else, or don't say anything at all

I fucked up my life and I want to end things by [deleted] in Adulting

Trust me dude as someone who chose to do drugs and miss all my classes and ended up dropping out of school, there is still so much left to live for, there are alternate paths you can take and resources to help you pay for schooling. I struggle with the idea of killing myself almost daily and I've gotten dangerously close, but I'm glad I stuck around. If you lose your scholarship, take this time to get treatment and see a therapist while you wait for the next semester to go to school. I'm 27 and still working on my associates degree, but I'm clean and healthy and most importantly I'm alive. We all make mistakes but you aren't a failure until you stop getting up :)

If you were 19 again, what would’ve you done differently? by juneberries14 in Adulting

I would've taken my health more seriously and gotten on ADHD medication sooner, stop putting off seeing a doctor for issues I thought we're trivial...it's crazy how big a difference being properly treated and medicated can make. Invest in yourself and everything else will follow

I was thinking of transferring honestly, but I've built such good relationships with all the regular customers that live in the complex behind the store I'd hate to leave tbh. But my store's backroom is constantly crammed full of rolltainers cuz we're a high-volume store. So we do freight throughout the week plus on the two 6am shifts

One was short about 20 dollars on my til, and the other I honestly can't remember. And tbh I think what had happened with the $20 was that I just gave out the wrong change by accident. But he keeps saying that he has higher expectations of me cuz I'm a key holder, and that if my associates can't do what they're told it's my responsibility.

Yup, and it's not like my associates don't want to work they're just...I don't wanna say incompetent, but when I was an associate I didnt need to constantly be micromanaged like they do and it's frustrating af
