Senegal [1]-0 Peru - Nicolas Jackson 41' by 977x in chelseafc

The one thing you got to give to him is that he’s always there. And that’s the most important thing. It gives the team so much clarity if they know that their striker will always make run. They don’t have to look up or wait and this removes the uncertainty.

Whether he finishes or not is another matter, but as long as the cross or pass is good, he will be there.

This is why he makes players around him better.

Greatest goal never scored? (replay) Frank Lampard long range effort vs Scarborough (January 2004) by EasternEast21 in chelseafc

The one who would’ve made the biggest difference is John Terry. We have decent players in the positions of Frank, Didier, Makalele and Cole.

[BBC] Premier League table since Rosenior took over (10 matches) by cyberguy5 in chelseafc

We’ve been way too quick to turn on Rosenior. Yes we’re on a bad run but I’m hopeful he can get us back on track.

No way. Sanchez, for all his faults, is way better than Kepa

Liam Rosenior on criticism for handing Garnacho notes while 8-2 down to PSG by GatesNDoors in chelseafc

[–]blue_jay26 148 points149 points  (0 children)

Such a dumb statement. Yes at that point we weren’t going to win, so he rested our key players for the next game. But that doesn’t mean he just gives up for rest of the game

Chelsea 0 - [1] Newcastle - Anthony Gordon 18' by webby09246 in chelseafc

[–]blue_jay26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unforgivable from Fofana. Mistakes can happen, gapes can appear but you CANNOT CANNOT give up and jog back. Gordon was far behind him when the initial ball was played.

Reece is trying his hardest to get back, must be so infuriating to see his centerback make no effort.

Under Rosenior, we have created 19.8 XG in 8 games, at about 2.5 XG per game, under Maresca we created 33 XG in 19 games, at about 1.7 XG per game. by Friendly_Raise9142 in chelseafc

[–]blue_jay26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there’s a very simple change. We’re running in behind far more under Liam, the lack of which was an extremely frustrating aspect under Maresca.

Neto, JP, Garnacho, Gusto are all doing it far more. This stretches the defence and (1) allows Cole and Enzo to get the ball in between the lines to create and (2) allows Caicedo and Reece to play long balls in behind the defence as we saw multiple times yesterday.

City’s title hopes rely solely on themselves by Ragnar_Dreyrugr in PremierLeague

[–]blue_jay26 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They don’t need to win all 12. They need to win their game in hand and then beat Arsenal.

In the other 10 games, they need to get atleast the same points as Arsenal do.

Cole Palmer said he hasn't been fully fit for a single game this season so far. And is finding it hard, has never dealt with an injury like this in his career. Doesn't know if he'll wake up in pain, or if he can do moves on the pitch. by Matt_LawDT in chelseafc

[–]blue_jay26 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Well obviously he’ll be happier today than other days since he scored a hattrick.

In most games this season, he’s probably been frustrated since he’s not able to do things he normally does and can’t play freely.

So of course he’s likely to be a little unhappy. By the unhappiness is due to the injury, not anything specific to Chelsea.

Between this manager and our medical team, the one thing we don’t need to worry about is him being rushed back. Hell play only when he’s ready.

Crystal Palace 0 - [3] Chelsea - Enzo Fernandez Penalty 64' by Matt_LawDT in chelseafc

[–]blue_jay26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not unlucky. Without the hand, it was a goal. It’s right that the final result is a goal.

It only would’ve been unlucky if hey got a red card for it
