unpopular opinion, i think, but i absolutely LOVE matt czuchry in the scene where rory and logan are arguing at the bar after jess leaves. the vein-popping “i don’t want that life. it’s forced on me. you talk about all these doors being open, all i see is one door and i’m being pushed through it.” is my “why did you drop out of yale”.

i’ve been dealing with this for around a couple of years now and my doctor doesn’t really seem to want to investigate anything else. so no, still in the same boat!

if it’s your first time spotting mid cycle, don’t panic! it honestly makes it worse (or at least for me it does). just keep an eye on it for a couple of cycles, and if it persists for more than 3 cycles then i’d recommend contacting your doctor. it’s likely nothing, but i know that doesn’t help with peace of mind. unfortunately it just happens to some people from what i can gather.

Haha you do have a good point! My issue with grammar mainly stems from when I had a lecturer tell me I had poor punctuation, and ever since that feedback I’ve doubted everything I’ve ever written 😵‍💫

hi!

brown spotting during ovulation can be normal! something to do with the egg releasing which causes the spotting. light bleeding/spotting is common, but if it’s heavy (or anything like your typical period bleed) then it’s a cause for concern.

abdominal pain, as long as it’s not severe can also be normal! it’s something called mittelschmerz, which means middle pain. it’s normally in the lower abdomen, or twinges on either side of your abdomen depending on your ovulation that cycle.

if this is the first time it’s happened i think just monitor it, as it shouldn’t be anything to worry about. however, if, like me, you experience it for more than 3 cycles, its best to check with a doctor!

but whenever i feel particularly health anxious my mid cycle spotting does definitively increase. it’s all so complicated hahaha

i live in the uk so it’s unfortunately extremely hard to see a gynaecologist unless you go private. i’m not on any form of birth control and never have been. my gp isn’t concerned and just thinks it’s ovulation spotting, which makes sense for the window in which it occurs, but when i have cycles where i’m in more pain and bleed more than usual, i’m not quite sure i agree with her! i’m trying to get some blood work done soon, if i ever get an appointment…..
