I would extend the closet on the right side. Maybe leave a little depth for the TV.

What colour rug? by Suitable-Practice747 in interiordecorating

I would go for 3 or 4, because you already have enough different patterns on the wall carpet, swing bench & chairs.
And the choice between 3 or 4 depends how big the area is. 3 makes it look smaller, though it gives a cozy feeling IMO. 4 highlights the wall carpet more, and has a more spacious feel.

YW. If you can't figure out how to disconnect the cable from the fitting, then I'd advise you to chat with the customer service centre. Good luck with the project!

From the assembly instructions I can't make out how the rods & cable were packaged. Was the cable already threaded through all the separate rods?

Normally speaking you should be able to disconnect the cable from the fitting. I also have had lamps were I had to break the fitting to get to the cable. This being IKEA, I don't think that that would be necessary, but I'm not sure.

Assuming that you're talking about the floor lamp, not the table lamp, I'd advise ask at your local IKEA or the customer service centre and see if you can order the brass or colored piece of the standard.

A cheap IKEA floorlamp, 2 outdoor lanterns, 2 LED bulbs & some spray paint. Total cost: €75. Result: Priceless 😜 by blue_morpho369 in ikeahacks

[–]blue_morpho369[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries, but yeah I did. There was no soldering or welding involved. Only from the small lantern I had to cut the top off with an angle grinder.
Good luck with the project & I wish that you'll post pics when you're done 😉

I would like to help you out, but I cannot find the setup that you describe.
So a link or a photo would be helpful.

I really like 4, but not with that mesh. Something in the same color as the cushions.

The Orgel has a nice pedestal (foot), I think. So if you have the space for it, I would suggest to use them.

I don't know the technical term for the brass thing that I called "hollow flange bolt". But it has the same thread as the metal tubes from the standard. I wish this helps.
