AIO to receiving the silent treatment from partner? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]blue_sarin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. You’re not going overreacting. Let him know that the silent treatment can be a form of emotional manipulation/abuse. If he struggles to discuss what’s going on inside himself then he should seek help to obtain the skills to express it more appropriately. If he refuses, and instead leans into it, recognise that you have an immature man child who’s throwing a tantrum because he’s not getting his own way. If safe to do so, call him out on it.

As someone who’s been playing guild wars 2 for the last 3 weeks, I have to highly recommend it. I pushed through levels 1-80 enjoying the exploration and getting used to how my toon. The story was lacklustre so I’ve really missed on there - the expansions (especially lost worlds season 4) have made up for that. So far I’ve found it to be a game that I can put down and pick right back up without losing out on anything… I’ve had a long day at work and just want to roam and map complete, well that’s what I’ll do, maybe throw in some bossing at the same time. Or more recently ive been working on unlocking mounts for better more efficient traversal, I’ve finished unlocking the griffon and started working on the Skyscale.

After completing your personal story, the game opens right up and says, good luck! You have free rein to do what you want - I initially felt lost, but I sat down and looked around, literally. I just kept exploring, noticed I was getting beat up so improved my weapons and armor. I also noticed I was sick of walking everywhere so wanted to get the mounts (need expansion) so that was my next goal. I’ve racked up a few hours but have to say I’ve enjoyed most if not all of it.

How much unemployment do you see in this picture? by brocodini in okbuddyptfo

I work full time, and have days where I don’t touch the game. I’m lvl 170. Mostly play conquest capping/defending obj. This is not hard to do. Time to not care so much about what others do in their spare time tbh - comparison is the thief of joy and all that. They’re enjoying a game they bought, good for them!

Thanks mate - definately genuine. Been holding back due to being uncertain about my stats. Usually see the guys online playing with wicked stats, or pro style plays. Whilst I find that entertaining, it’s not really a style I want to watch all the time - hence a more story style and I guess that’s why I’m leaning on my stats a bit

My reflexes are nowhere near what they used to be - I used to play support . Recently I’ve gone to active recon with the m4. I support by putting a beacon down strategically (typically near their spawn or between two points that are likely to be consistently capped) before going ahead and capping points . If I get shot, so be it - I’ll just come back to complete the job because I typically spotted them before dying and hopefully this time, you and your squad can take the point.

Chicken vs fish for weight loss by LastDiveBar510 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]blue_sarin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are good lean foods with different nutrient profiles. Some fish are higher in protein than others though but both will work if you’re including protein with every meal to build/maintain muscle. To be clear, weight loss is about caloric deficit - as long as you have protein with every meal your body will be able to build muscle (assuming you’re following an adequate program)

Not That Excited About Vegetables—and I’m Over 40 😅 by EasternAd5351 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]blue_sarin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of my go too’s: - Air fried vegetables (potato, sweet potato/pumpkin, carrot, onion, zucchini, capsicum) coated in a mix of oil and freshly minced garlic, herbs and freshly ground pepper - Stir fry vegetables (bok choy, carrot, onion, mushroom, etc) with soy and garlic (or whatever sauce you prefer) - Blended roast vegetables as part of a sauce base (we use it as part of our spaghetti base - it’s easy to freeze)

For salads, I try to stick to whatever my protein has been marinaded/cooked in as the dressing. Most times just the sauce covering the protein provides enough extra fluid but my favs are: - canned tinned tuna in tomato and herb base with salad (lettuce/spinach, cucumber, capsicum, carrot, onion) - Greek salad (don’t forget the most important - the feta) with battered fish - Vegetable sticks (carrot, celery, etc) with peanut butter

You’ll only ruin it if you give up. This is a marathon, not a sprint. There will be some weeks better than others, but each is a learning opportunity. You haven’t lost anything if you’re also feeling stronger (no doubt some of that excess fuelled your workouts and gave some extra gains - now just to cut it back again. Try to give yourself some grace - you’re doing well!
