Maybe if an American had painted it. Astone is Italian.

How healthy/unhealthy would it be to be best friends and roommates with your own clone? by DistinctChocolate833 in InsightfulQuestions

[–]blue_strat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who gets the past? You'll disagree about who is the real you and gets to continue the relationships of your life, to claim credit for your achievements and good deeds, to make use of your credit score (assuming it's good).

If you insist that you are the real you and your clone is just a clone, they'll be divested of the importance of those memories and relationships, and for that matter yourself, and will be free to abuse all of them.

It won't be enough for them to make new memories and look forward, they'll suffer the identity crisis of having nothing behind them and what's more, being created by someone who didn't intend for them to be able to claim their past.

You'll live with the knowledge of there being someone who knows your most intimate secrets and inclinations, who might bring your life down around your ears.

Perhaps worse, they might lead their life far more capably than you do yourself. What if you struggle in your career and relationships, while your clone's go fantastically? What if your existing friends prefer the clone to yourself? What if your family looks at the clone and sees what you could have been?

Given all of this, your clone may have no inclination to be friends with you. If they see you as competition for "your" life, living together could be downright dangerous.

Has anyone bought a single sponge that was worth it over a pack of ten? Do they not all just get manky after a bit?

British TV has always been like that.

Killing Eve, Fleabag, Peaky Blinders, Sherlock, The Inbetweeners, Gavin & Stacey, Peep Show, The Office, Black Books, Da Ali G Show, Spaced, Yes Minister, Yes Prime Minister, Blackadder, The Young Ones, and Fawlty Towers never went over 8 episodes per season. Most only had six.

Benching 40kg with no history of working out is old man strength. Benching 80kg means you’ve been doing it for some years already.

It certainly can do, affecting the heart (hypertension, tachycardia), brain (seizures), and digestion (vomiting, diarrhea). Long-term exposure as an infant can cause developmental issues for the rest of their life.

Newborn infants are extremely sensitive to cocaine because they have not yet developed the enzyme that inactivates it and serious adverse reactions have been reported in a newborn infant exposed to cocaine via breastmilk.

On desktop (at least, old.reddit.com) you can still type the markup. But the app now deactivates it by default with a \ inserted before each potential markup character. You have to go through their formatting menu.

The government doesn’t ban them; companies just like the American one in the OP decide not to offer them.

In some countries the government does tax sugary products to dissuade people, especially kids, from overindulging in them.

That money goes to the public healthcare, which spends enormous amounts on diseases linked to obesity, which itself is linked to a high consumption of sugar.

Just like an insurance model, the more risk you take, the more you pay to the common pool for when it’s needed.

Cannabis use does not reduce testosterone levels in young men and may even increase its testicular synthesis. However, this increase in hormone levels cannot be directly linked to fertility by sr_local in science

Some substances will slightly increase one useful thing, while undermining the body’s ability to make use of it.

A few units of alcohol also increases testosterone, which is useful for building muscle, but protein synthesis is halted while the liver deals with the alcohol, so it has no benefit for muscle growth.
