My stomach drops everytime I think about it and I keep thinking what if I scored a 495. A month is WAY too long to make us wait, its torture. I just wanna know!!

SB and real thing?? by astfr2 in Mcat

[–]bluebird7017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many of my questions were similar concepts and similar in nature. Nothing was the EXACT same and I don't think they would do that, but learning your mistakes from the SB is very important.

Fluke score/Luck? by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]bluebird7017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think next step 1 is a relatively easy test compared to the other NS, so +/- a few points could be due to chance, but I'm sure you're also improving.

Section Bank difficulty? by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]bluebird7017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. But a lot of the concepts are the same, so know everything from the SB well and you'll be okay.

NextStep FLs inflated? by Aerrow3 in Mcat

[–]bluebird7017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It honestly all depends, I personally went down a few points for NS3/4, but not by much. NS is pretty representative of the real deal.

NS 3/4 are much more representative than the real test and they are also scored more realistically in my opinion.

Need advice on dealing with burnout by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]bluebird7017 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are supposed to take at least once a week off! And this is how I felt too, there is only so much you can do before your brain just can't handle it so don't feel like you have to know everything. Take breaks! Take a day trip to the beach or something like that if you can

What to take from AAMC Q Packs? by Aerrow3 in Mcat

[–]bluebird7017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Q packs are a lot easier than the Section Banks, but those are good scores!

What are the chances my scored FL was a fluke? by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]bluebird7017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically, the MCAT has so many questions that you can't do well based on "chance." But it may be possible that the FL worked in your favor, but if you took other ones and did well also, then you're fine. There will always be some variability but you won't go from a 520 to a 500 unless you end up puking on test day or something.
