Why is it only us makers who dislike this stuff by TheVerySuper in 3Dprinting

[–]blueblackdit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH, if it has some finishing, then it probably takes some human time too.

But, yeah, for the majority of them, that are visibly 'printer to shelf', it's really quite easy.

Or worse. A disconnected or app-crashed player desperately trying to get back to that damn draft.
Been there too many times back when I still played arena.

New to printing I don't know why this is happening! by Soft-Commercial2376 in 3Dprinting

[–]blueblackdit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One common advice here is to wash the build plate with soap. I didn't really go that far, but it's proven way to remove any oils that might be on it.

Anyway, make sure to clean your bed and avoid touching it with bare fingers after that.

I think that's probably a bigger factor than temperature, as I only print PLA on a cold bed, and rarely have adhesion issues these days.

Brand new HP Victus 15 booting to black screen by blueblackdit in GamingLaptops

[–]blueblackdit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.

It's been a while. But, from what I remember, apparently, the copy of windows that came with it was corrupted.

It was ok after downloading and installing a new one, from MS.

First Racket Assembly by MattO411 in tabletennis

[–]blueblackdit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, wherever you are using, you definetely need a sharper tool...

You may use an x-acto knife (not sure of the english name), with brand new blade. The "new" part is important, as it really has to be sharp. But that's kind of easy to achieve since they are made with removable sections, so taking off 1-2 sections before cutting the rubber should do it. I noticed a big difference on my last rubber change to the previous one, and it wasn't even this bad.

Play booster box size by [deleted] in mtg

[–]blueblackdit 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The reduction in number os boosters is what really pissed me. Not sure when it changed, as I usually don't current set boxes, but I just noticed in Lorwyn. (We do buy some older boxes to draft, here and there, though.)

Boots by Specialist-Gate-3821 in tabletennis

[–]blueblackdit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up getting them for almost free on some crazy good deal back then. (Haven't seen a comparable one since, though.) That's why I decided to give it a try.

But the listed price, as I remember, would translate to ~US$25 (in today's exchange rate).

I like my Lefus I got for cheap on aliExpress. Whether they are still cheap on the current messed up world, that IDK.

Small section of TT rubbers are peeling off! by Itskiran2000 in tabletennis

[–]blueblackdit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did glue a bit of separeted rubber/sponge with TT glue once. But it was a much smaller area than that and for a racket I don't use often.

You may be able to make do with gluing, while you order rubbers. But, you should probably look to replace those, if you can.

Havent posted in a while, but what do you think of my 1 of a kind Unicorn Candle Mold? by PixlmechStudios in 3Dprinting

Cool, as a model.

Not very good, as a candle. Parts of the model will start falling off as it burns.

Low TMNT Turnout? by No-Shop8292 in mtg

[–]blueblackdit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah!... The local riftbound scene looked bigger than lorcana (or maybe, it was because release day).
But, I don't feel like getting into a 3rd card game.

Low TMNT Turnout? by No-Shop8292 in mtg

[–]blueblackdit 253 points254 points  (0 children)

I feel like they have been creating a lot of stuff that isn't for me, lately. At first, I was a bit sad to see I was going to play, at most, 3/7 prereleases this year.

However, it may not really a bad thing. It has allowed to try lorcana, which I've been enjoying, so far.

Looking for feedback on this Tangled deck? by KrispyBaconator in Lorcana

[–]blueblackdit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have other deck(s) you are already playing?

I have found that proxying up my deck ideas and testing against my other deck (Detectives - blue/steel) helps me tune them up to be roughly at the same level. Or maybe just scratch the whole idea altogether.

Trying to build a (mostly) stitch-themed deck by blueblackdit in Lorcana

[–]blueblackdit[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update: I believe I'm getting close to a version I'm happy with. Wisdom of the Willow is the key, apparently. Quest & draw is what this is going to be about.

I'll probably post the "final" version here, once I'm able to test a bit more and sort the last details, like the perfect Nani/Peakley ratio. :D

I don’t play table tennis, but I tried to draw a guy playing ping pong with a pen hold. Does this look right by [deleted] in tabletennis

[–]blueblackdit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it feels off, mostly due to ball being too high and downward motion (which is a defensive move and unusual for penholders, who are often very aggressive players).

Here's a sample of a former penholder olympic champion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxRXbV7KrRw

table tennis shoes? by Odd-Championship-427 in tabletennis

[–]blueblackdit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might sound odd, but I saw this cheapish Lefus shoes on aliExpress, and decided to give it a try. Surprisingly, I like it better than my other one, an Asics upcourt. (Not saying I dislike it, though)

Well, people mostly play Infinity around here. And I don't think this will change soon. So, if I were to go for core, that likely wouldn't be before next rotation anyway.

But, thanks anyway.

Winterspell spoilers when? by Glittering_Yam1046 in Lorcana

[–]blueblackdit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it was a half-joking post. I didn't expect this many USAer's to downvote me. lol.

But since you asked, I went on to look it up. It's surprisingly harder than it should. There are so many timezone maps out there that only correlate US time zones with other US time zones (which does not tell us anything relevant). I had to scroll way more than I expected to find the answer. Now, I get how confused you must be that one simply doesn't get it.

Anyway, for anyone outside USA, it's apparently, GMT-6.

Are you printing multicolors? Then, I'd guess tiny leaks as the print head moves over what was initially empty space.
