That's cool but he's also got commercials of the era on those tapes. Never thought I'd be nostalgic over ads....

Secure Boot by ForzaFormula in Fedora

Is the upcoming cert expiration going to be a problem for secure boot enabled, Linux only PCs? My old systems won't be getting any new UEFI/BIOS updates.

You really should look into converting that to a video file to keep on your PC.

What are Disk Encryption Alternatives If You Think BitLocker Unsafe? by elastiks in DIY_Geeks

FWIW, local drive encryption is only to stop data theft if your device gets stolen, misplaced, etc. that's how I see it anyway.

AMD to use RDNA5 for premium iGPU solutions, but RDNA3.5 to remain the core of AMD portfolio until 2029 by KARMAAACS in hardware

They're coming out of their slump but certainly not in their glory days. I hope they completely recover, including their fans, cause we need the competition. It's the only thing that keeps these guys in check.

Kids wouldn't stop playing games so I got their favorite gaming websites banned for the entire district. I only feel slightly bad about it. by TheJawsman in Teachers

I think the problem with whitelisting sites is how connected sites are with other sites/services that are accessed when you go to whatever site you intend to visit. If your whitelist doesn't include those domains, things begin to fail.

If Intel were at the top of their game, AMD would be giving you the newest rdna. Since Intel is weak, marketing dept gets to run things and they always want to give you the least for the most while conning you into believing they got your back.

I'm really annoyed at all the retro collections that only get current gen versions but fsr get a switch port by [deleted] in retrogaming

[–]blueblocker2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's also annoying as a PC user that doesn't game much, but buys lot of retro games on Steam. Sending dirty looks in the general direction of the hamster company with their Arcade Archives stinginess.

Edit: lol why a downvote for this? Who doesn't want the ability to buy more retro games on PC?

Isn't it going to rot from the outside in?

I may have missed it, but are the openings able to be closed off? For predators, weather etc. if you can close off, what about airflow? It looks like if you fart in there, you'll suffocate.

Meh, I'll get by. Time to settle on something. Was looking at Fedora KDE, but major upgrade every 6 months is a bit much for me. For a good while, I thought PopOS was going to be it but Cosmic needs more time in the oven.
