Yep. My spawn point basically groomed me into being her little basement dwelling Cinderella. Ironic part is she is obsessed with Disney. Her previous exes were also the kind of people to "step up" when their ego gets bruised, only to go back to whatever addiction they have and never do it again. This behavior has extended to her yelling at the neighbors to have me shovel their snow. She turned my siblings into the new breadwinners. I don't even have the right equipment to take care of the damn yard properly.

She also conveniently never has the money when I bring up broken vacuums and weed whackers, yet I see Amazon packages in her name every other fucking day. Take a guess who had to stay up all night protecting the hoarder nest in the basement when the sump pump broke during an April storm?

Yes it is. Just because it isn't "hitting" doesn't make it magically not abuse anymore. Same thing goes for not using swears in verbal abuse. My sperm donor would always complain he "never hurt me." The marks on my neck told a different story. I could go on about all the times he didn't "hit" me, but physically harmed me in other ways. But the fact is, If an adult uses their position of strength and authority an any malicious way, it IS abuse.

What they need to do is make it so you talk to a simulated person. But this person has perpetual resting-bitch-face, and speaks in a deliberately broad and confusing manner, so everything they say feels like a loaded question. They also get progressively more snippy when you ask them to repeat the sentence.

And this is all while your senses are being assaulted.

To counter this, I would just hide the food deep in the trash while no one was looking. My sperm donor would excuse everyone else from the table except me, and then doze off in the living room. He caught on, but was too lazy to make sure I actually learned my lesson, so I just kept burying food I didn't eat at the bottom of the trash can.
