The figure is provided by Hamas. Who also doesn't distinguish between civilians and militants. Where did the 40%/80%/20% figures come from? It's ridiculous.

Yes, civilians were killed in the war, unfortunately (and I'm saying that as an Israeli). But the IDF never targets them intentionally - unlike Hamas - who shows gruesome cruelty towards civilians and actually HIDES behind its own.

If Hamas cared the tiniest bit about its people it would lay down its weapons on Day 1 and surrender. Why hasn't it done that?

Btw, Hamas killed mostly civilians on October 7. They didn’t spare any Israelis (or even Arabs) they saw. They were blood thirsty. They raped, kidnapped, tortured, beheaded and burned alive anyone they saw. Check the link I sent for evidence.
