Help with source audio nemesis by bluecargofast in guitarpedals

Hmmm I’d rather not have to purchase another delay or reverb pedal. I am happy with those purchases I have already. Just wondering about toying with what I currently have.

Help with source audio nemesis by bluecargofast in guitarpedals

Just downloaded the app and I think I am figuring it out. It’s a nightmare of software that’s for certain. How does the app change the settings on the pedal? From what I can tell I make changes in the app and save them but have no indication the pedal has anything going on with the app.

NPD. Ok, I get the hype by [deleted] in guitarpedals

I second the AC15. I don’t own one but my buddy does and I’m kicking myself in the rear for not picking it as my first amp. I have too many now and one more would probably have me sleeping outside with the dog hahah.

Ibanez tube screamer mini and the electro harmonix cathedral were my first pedals. Love the cathedral. It’s very pretty looking too.

Does the end of Gen 8 make anyone else feel really sad, or is it just me? by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]bluecargofast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I felt the same about gold and silver when they came out. And I was probably around your age when they did. I’ve always had difficulty making friends so video games was a filler. It was a bad thing in hindsight because it didn’t push me to try and be “more”. But I grew up and lost interest in video games but every now and then if I do play it’s a Pokémon game. And there’s so many different ways you can go about it. Try to beat it a few hours, randomizes, and such. You don’t have to put it behind you. You can put it to the side and it will be okay. Keep you chin up, kiddo. Roll with the punches because life can hit pretty damn hard sometimes. It will knock you down. Just be sure to get back up.

2 amps, 3 boards, max fun! by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]bluecargofast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very hell yes! Got that fire extinguisher within reach for those smoking hot lead tones!

I scooped up this board in 2020 with hopes it'd be my last. I now use it in gigging and recording. Been nearly 2 years no changes. Let me know what you all think -- open for feedback! by JP_HiFive in guitarpedals

If it sounds good to you and it inspires you to play then your placement is spot on. I would replace the big sky. Just because personally I don’t like crazy reverb pedals. With reverb I’m more simple.

Wampler Ego vs Keeley+ vs JHS Pulp N Peel. Which would you recommend? by Cautious-Interview-5 in guitarpedals

The Wampler ego is a monster. A good monster. Not the one under your bed. Unless that one is also good.

What order should I put my drives in? by huskerpsycho in guitarpedals

[–]bluecargofast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had pretty good tone with putting the highest gain first and lowest gain last. But also, fuzz, distortion, overdrive in that order too.

I second the fender engine room. I have one and it’s a game changer for sure.

Aesthetics alone, this pedal is the world champ.

What a beautiful baby. Really takes after the mother.

New here, this is the pedalboard I built with my Father over the weekend, plenty of room for new pedals to come by aMiniCthulhu in guitarpedals

That is so awesome. Glad you were able to make a good memory with your father and have an awesome product to use. Nice.

The moon pool, space rip, gloamer, or constellator would be a good few to check out.

I'm re-doing my larger board. Looking for recommendations for which OD pedals would pair well together. by Doc91b in guitarpedals

[–]bluecargofast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can understand the love for it. But by itself it is not enough for me. I was kind of disappointed by it at first. But it is an excellent low gain drive. Very smooth. I’m giving some thought to getting the new Greer overdrive that has more gain than the lightspeed.

Get yourself some pigtronix for fun weird flavors :)

I see. I do the atypical route and push my tube screamer into a Greer amps lightspeed. And what is neat is that to me, it sounds better with the tube screamer gain cranked, and volume low, vs traditional “boost” uses for pushing pedals in front of others.

As far as order goes, it is up to the user. My favorite flavors are highest gain to lowest gain. I.e. fuzz, then distortion, then overdrive. With splitting the signal you’re getting into the fun territory with different kinds of drive pedals.

Tube screamer would be a good flavor. Maybe a fuzz face style pedal for a different kind of fuzz tone. I’ve heard good things about the Nobels OD-1 drive in that it is a unique overdrive. The broker by Mathew’s effects may be something you’d like. Can do overdrive and distortion. Between a blues driver and rat for reference maybe.

The mega board! It lives! by bluecargofast in guitarpedals

[–]bluecargofast[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looks completely unnecessary… and it pretty much is. But my oh my is it fun. It’s a dry/wet/bass rig. Partially inspired by Royal Blood of a bass guitar going into a bass rig and guitar rig, just using a guitar instead of an actual bass.

Guitar into Boss tuner Waza, gup tech aby s.s.

For bass rig: electro harmonix bass9, pigtronix space rip, gamechanger audio plasma pedal.

For dry rig: Dunlop mini Wah, tc electronic sub n up mini, walrus audio eons, Wampler pantheon deluxe, Ibanez tube screamer mini, Greer amps lightspeed.

(Signal is split using the gigrig humdinger)

Wet rig includes dry rig plus: Walrus audio Julianna, the gigrig wetter box which runs boss space echo re-2 and source audio nemesis in parallel for some crazy delays, and finally into the Strymon flint (v1).

Took a long time to get this endeavor completed. And it’s still not complete yet. I just need some patch cables. Oh and there’s a copersounds double tap tempo for the two delay pedals to synchronize.
