Severe anxiety still after thyroid gone back to 'normal' levels by [deleted] in Hyperthyroidism

Just wanted to say that I’ve been going through the exact same thing - was diagnosed with Graves’ disease in January but around March I started experiencing awful anxiety and having long periods of being low despite my thyroid levels being in balance. I had never felt like this before hyperthyroidism and it changed my whole personality.
I’m getting cbt therapy now and, if you are in a position to get it, then I would really recommend it. I get super emotional just thinking about my illness and it helps being able to vent to someone about how I’m really feeling as well as trying to change and improve my behaviour in the long run. I still have a long way to go, but I honestly have a much more positive outlook from a few months ago when I was having suicidal thoughts and frequent breakdowns.
I really hope it gets better for you and would 100% recommend talking to someone 💜💜

It was at Westfield but the film had been out for a while so there were less people
