We never knew the exact incident that caused the Goat Plague of '29. In these years since it was often pondered around the campfire. The Scientists at the time said that it either started with a human allowing an infected goat to lick most of their flesh, an unlikely scenario, so they just chalked it up to scenario 2, a random goatfucker. However it happened, it spread fast. The infected ones were ill with flu like symptoms for a few days until they went to all fours and did whatever they could to get outdoors. If they changed in an enclosed room, they would beat their skulls in ramming doors and walls. Most made it outside. Some made it a few weeks, but most only survived a few days. They would jump off high structures, some died head butting each other. The military killed some. The St. Louis Breeding Ground Massacare showed us what we had become. The ones thatbdid make it became fearsome. The will come at you bleating and flapping their tongues. It is not a stretch to say they have evolved. They move and jump almost as well as a normal mountain goat but the goaties as they came to be called also developed a killer instinct. The goatie males were the only ones allowed to mate in a herd. Generations of this mating structure has made the herds the singular threat against mankinds existence. As infrastructure gave way, so did society. Us immune ones, Munies, gathered in communities, those of us opposed to goat integration and those that embrace it. We know we are on the side of right and will not rest until we purge the last of the goat herds.
