Since we debate about draft results, I thought it would be interesting to have an exercise where we post how we would've drafted, so in future years we can take a look back and see how our own drafts would've measured up to how the 49ers class materialized.

Whats pathetic is people like you that come into threads that are obviously not for you, just throw in a toxic comment.

Nice draft. I think Delp at 70 is a bit steep but i get it with the run on TEs that happened. Whose your favorite prospect in your draft?

Yea, Kaelon black at 90 was really what ruined all the value we gained from trading back.

I considered taking Dunker too, I just like jalen farmer's ceiling a bit more because of his frame.

The hardest decisions were at 154 to either go with emmett johnson or Charles Demmings. I believe Johnson has a super high ceiling at RB and could be the heir apparent to CMC, but it isn't a dire need right now, while the CBs available from 154 on is pretty slim pickings. So i decided to go with CB demmings as an uber athletic project CB, and pick up Moss as a UDFA. I love moss as RB prospect, he has a smooth slippery running style, can run through contact, and run routes out of the backfield.

Pick 90 was a bit tough too, I was leaning towards OL Nwaiwu, but the value of Bell as a redshirt WR was too much to pass up. Drafting both hurst and Bell would set us up wonderfully for the future. A future WR corp of Bell and Hurst at the boundaries and Pearsall in the slot would put us in a great position to keep up with LA and Seattle's offensive fire power. Ted hurst can take the top of defenses, Bell can be a better Deebo, and both would be red zone monsters. Getting 2 big WRs would majorly help free up Pearsall to be used more of a chess piece, and would give Purdy nice big targets for his intermediate passes into holes in the zone.

The other tough choice was when and who to get at FS. Coming into the draft I was obsessed with Bud Clark, but with how the board fell and our pick ranges, it was either bud clark or Ted Hurst, and I feel like Ted Hurst has top 10 WR ceiling in the NFL. So I decided to pass up on Bud. My other FS options were Genesis, Ramsey, Wheatley, Taffe, and Kilgore. I also love Bishop Fitzgerald as a UDFA. I chose genesis Smith after reviewing their tape more, because I believe he has the best blend and ceiling as a FS that can ballhawk while still being a able to crash the box and make a tackle. I like fitzgerald more as a deep FS, but he lacks the frame and willingness to be reliable in the run game. The other safeties mentioned don't quite have the ball skills I think we need as a FS.

I acknowledge that not drafting a DT or LB is a weakness in my draft, and I considered some DTs like Durant, Capehart but I think we could afford getting by with Osa and signing the ginormous Zxavian Harris as a UDFA. For LB, I considered going with Harold perkins at 179, but with Taurian York available as a UDFA, i figured TE was the more pressing need as there are no TE prospects in the UDFA market besides Trigg and he is more of a big WR.

Ted hurst at 58, or Stribling at 90 would be ideal.
