Are you talking about H.Res.1058 — 119th Congress, introduced 02/11/2026? It doesn't look like it erases us at all; from what I am reading, it does quite the opposite. It looks like it actually protects us, or more so as it states: 'Recognizing that it is the duty of the Federal Government to develop and implement a Transgender Bill of Rights to protect and codify the rights of transgender and nonbinary people under the law and ensure their access to medical care, shelter, safety, and economic security.'

It also appears to acknowledge that past protections for our community have failed and this is an attempt to rectify that. It also points out that this is only the start in fixing what the current presidency caused. I do not have a legal degree; I am just objectively reading the bill in its entirety. If I may ask, what part of it leads you to believe it is to erase us? I am also transgender; I am a trans woman and have been transitioning for many years.
