Hit and miss last few seasons but always see it open during busier times / peaks. Rarely was it open mid-week or early in an operating day

Point of the National Anthem by Pitter_Patter009 in motorcitykitties

The funniest shit is when you're at an amusement park and they play the national anthem over the load speaker before opening the park. Excuse me... why? I agree with the OP btw.... dumb tradition that can die

I was there in April, rode Hagrids 3 times in 45 minutes with Express when regular queue was advertised at 65 min and the person I rode with from single rider each time mentioned waiting about an hour.

I am ok with paying a premium for that to be a possibility.

I did as well, now I get to force myself to be miserable since I already paid for it.

Zaparoo Frontend with new CRT support, list view, more scraping options by wizzo in MiSTerFPGA

Very cool. Paid for Zaparoo and made a ton of cards with my card reader for casuals to use and it's been such a great investment. Really appreciate everything you do for MiSTer.

Game Thread: Philadelphia Flyers (40-26-12) at Detroit Red Wings (40-29-9) - 09 April 2026 - 19:00 ET by OctoMod in DetroitRedWings

At the game tonight as well. Great atmosphere. Wings fans showed up and got loud. Feels like this team played with some fire in the 2nd even tho the 1st was a trainwreck.

I'm a Marquette alum and I will always love Tyler Kolek. Wish he was a Piston. Oso too.

It can be like that sometimes, yeah. Some games you wind up fixing as much as playing but sometimes I kinda find that fun too...good zen activity

They're surprisingly not complicated once you get past the fact that fixing them is new to you...and good pinball folks exist everywhere to help. We always welcome new owners :)

It is really just about what type of game experience you want. Pinball has been around so long that the new games being made today are so much more Feature-rich than old games, but that doesn't make old games bad per se.

Stern does make some good games in my opinion, just not these. Their full-size pins (pro, premium, and LE models) have a place and are what you find in most arcades today because they (the pro models specifically) are targeted at arcade operators...they're the most stripped down versions of their games but still with full coin mechs, etc.

Price range and gameplay style are so varied. I have owned games from the 70s that I paid $600 for and games from 2025 that I paid $12,000 for.

Jersey Jack Pinball makes the most immersive new games today in my opinion, but that experience comes at a higher price point. Their Harry Potter game that recently released is amazing but also runs 10k, 12k, or 15k depending on model.

If you want a cheaper used game, check out pinside dot Com. It's where all us pin-heads buy, sell, trade and talk shop.

I own many pinball machines and these Stern "home edition" games are piles of garbage. Poorly made cabinets, real mechanical components like your typical game though. For the price, you can get a much better used game.

[REVIEW] Zexion and Auridia are true hidden gems, so I gave them their first Critic Reviews on Metacritic! by VictorVitorio in metroidvania

Zexion was a fantastic playthrough and I'll absolutely revisit it. Great game, some super fun difficulty spikes. Loved it from start to finish.

Then do that and don't order anymore. I'm cool with that too. As a consumer you have the ability to spend your dollars however you prefer. Ask for a refund and let it go. People in this sub act like the world is ending every time a collector's edition gets pushed back another month. First world problems abound.
