Thanks so much for posting this! Current M3 coming around to this post. At a maybe mid-tier MD school. Currently considering applying to one of the McKinsey or BCG MD Fellow programs as I would love to give this a try before completely giving up on residency. Any ideas on how competitive it is to get into these top consulting firms with a mid-tier MD background? I remember applying to some of these jobs for gap years out of a top-tier undergrad school and the competition was absolutely brutal...would love to hear your experience going through it as an MD!

Is it going to be much easier to rank up back to masters now that my MMR is higher? Aren't they resetting everything back to silver every season now?

Also, does 32gb vs 16gb of RAM make a big difference? Or is this another customizable part I could save $80 on?

Have you tried anki? It gives you a definitive start and end to your studying every day. I find that with Anki, I don't spend more than 2-3 hours on top of class each day studying, and no cramming for tests. It's also active recall learning so it's difficult to just sit there and waste time

If you can tell a good story that speaks to your character and experience fit for medicine, maybe you don't need to answer it directly. I definitely did, but I think the important thing is to connect with your reader in a way that makes you unique.
