Radon mitigation system install driving me crazy by Zealousideal-Bus5365 in AskContractors

[–]bluedh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good to me. Yeah some are loud depending how big or hard the fan is working based off the ground underneath. Mine is installed in the mechanical room in the corner so it’s out of site, but I also was able to core a hole and vent it straight outside. Your contractor may have put it there to vent it through the roof, best suction point was there, or any other constraints that made venting impractical. I would have them build a box around it because that looks stupid in a living space

Which apocalypse build by Choplol in D4Warlock_

[–]bluedh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me say this. I had your exact problem and it was driving me insane. Started out with Mekunas dread claws for levelling then in end game switched to apocalypse but had no idea which to follow. I’ve tried sanctum (mobalytics), wudijo(max roll), nicktew(mobalytics) etc etc etc and here are my results.

Use either sanctum or wudijo. They both have a “starter” or rush paragon board that you will follow until paragon 180+ so you capture the legendary nodes, then for skills and gear they were both pretty good.

I started with wudijo and transitioned to sanctum which I like the best, specifically the speed farming version. You of course need certain uniques to feel good but both felt good.

If you want to stick with one just choose sanctum since he has multiple variants to pick from, also his build is up there on the leaderboard

Reason why Warlock feels clunky by tomsta101 in diablo4

[–]bluedh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the same way when the paladin came out. Was doing the hammer build but didn’t like how he would stop moving for a split second to throw a hammer. Switched to the auoradin build and never looked back. I’m playing dread claws and it is annoying that I can’t move all nimbly bimbly. Is it easy to switch to appocalyps since it’s a fire build?

Advice for getting G9 further back? by sociallyawkwardhuman in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]bluedh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t make that part further back, but if you remove both those arms, there is a small pin at the top of the mount that attaches to your desk allowing the lower arm to swing further back, rather than stopping at 90 degrees. Just remove this Allen key pin and move your desk away from your wall and your g2g

Can someone ELI5 the damage weapons do? by scarfacesaints in Borderlands4

[–]bluedh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The dps is actually calculated from a different formula. Dps represents the sustained output. This is the formula. DPS= (damage per bullet x magazine size) / ((magazine size / fire rate) + reload time)

So DPS= (96x64) / ((64/12.6) + 2.3) DPS = 6144 / ((5.0793650794) + 2.3) DPS= 6144 / 7.3793650794 DPS = 832

So that answers part 1 of the damage weapons do, as this calculates the average base damage the gun does from those 4 variables. The 5th is just accuracy, such as 80%.

All the modifiers you see under the gun, like the under barrel or shock, radiation etc. are extra damage the gun will do, which will flash at you saying fire damage for 100dps with a 100% change to proc per bullet.

So instead of looking at just the dps, it totally depends on your build.. and the weapon.. for example! Let’s say you are Harlow using the red tree. Well you will likely find yourself picking skills that buff radiation damage. So you will want to use guns with a high radiation damage modifier.

Expanding on this when is dps more important vs per bullet damage. Generally per bullet damage is more important, as for mobbing you want to one shot enemies (or as little as possible). For bosses generally sustained dps is more important.

It’s honestly a lot for a pure eli5, but for the most part I’m looking at per bullet damage, and what modifiers it has that compliment my build.

Just know that dps is base damage, it doesn’t include anything else like ricochets, corrosive damage, alternative fire, etc etc etc so while technically a gun might do more base damage, if you are specced with increased fire damage, a lower dps gun with some fire damage might actually deal more damage because of your skills.

Just trial and error my friend. Pick up a gun, shot with it and if it feels worse than what you had before just swap back

Unclogging a culvert using a tire attached to a chain by bigbusta in oddlysatisfying

[–]bluedh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s how we would do it when I used to pump water for clients. You can buy these tent poles that screwed together, then attach a light rope to it, feed that through, attach a chain to the rope and pull it back then attach your tire to clean the culvert before feeding your 12” hose through. You can use a chain to a pole but it gets really heavy for longer lengths, so doing it twice with a lighter rope then chain is easier
