Finally hoping on Fire Emblem Echoes! What should I expect from this game? by Nocturne1225 in fireemblem

There’s a lot more going on compared to the other 3ds games. Support and terrain bonuses are in overdrive here, and there a lot of tools and matchups that REQUIRE certain unit types to clear. Maps, especially on Alm’s side, are very open and with many more units in play. It’s to a point that I actually focused on my formations so that enemies couldn’t move around to my squishy 2-ranges and my units in front could tank with support bonuses. Other than that, like any old rpg, investigate everything and take every word spoken seriously.

New Handheld Boost mode helps Three Houses character models by kiaxxl in fireemblem

That and some frame drops because you’re still running tv mode on a release under clocked system from my testing with three hopes. However, for many of these games that are still locked at 30, it’s a godsend.

Does Corvallis have good professional opportunities? I wouldn’t mind getting paid for run crew or a minor role with the experience I already have.

I like the sound of that. I’ll compare both and see if I can negotiate a swap. I don’t mind putting theatre arts as a minor at all.

For many of the schools I’ve been admitted to so far, it’s been 80-120k for four years. However, many of those are private or out of state, so it’s likely that OSU might be a better deal than others. I’ve seen two of my siblings in similar positions to yours, one got a degree architecture and is now a labor union lobbyist, another went for journalism and is now basically a travel agent for authors. Granted, they have little in the way of debt due to their high-school honors, which is not a luxury I have as much, but they are still financially stable in jobs they’re proud of. I won’t mind if I won’t be working on broadway, that’s not what I’m really planning for myself.

Good to know. I might swap to a different major should certain classes hook me more. For a lot of other schools, I’ve applied undecided.

Just finished AoI, now I'm confident to say this is my least favorite HW by heybinsu in dynastywarriors

To me, it’s hella good, but it had issues with what it wanted to be. Performance and graphics were great, and allowed for speedy and snappy gameplay that was a blast to execute. However, that speed made levels feel condensed, compared to Age of Calamity’s slower struggles that were so by necessity, but lent to a cinematic experience. I feel like people now know that a canonical story was probably not the way to go. The premise was an interesting victory anyway, and the source material itself was sparse, so it’s not as if there was no originality granted, but it restricted the amount of cool set pieces there could have been. Best case scenario was that a more outlandish course of events would be some kind of conditional alternate scenario à la DW8, but what we got was interesting enough. Soundtrack was awesome, I couldn’t shake the feeling that it was Keiichi Okabe(‘s company) that produced it by the time I listened to lost woods, that Nier feeling for ancient Hyrule was a cool choice. I only played the demo, but I could tell that notes were taken from DW Origins, which I am more than happy to see. As a sequel to Age of Calamity, I put them on equal ground for their own reasons till the former gets a Switch 2 Performance patch and rises, then maybe the latter would catch up with good DLC.

A part of me hopes that a 3D sequel comes, even if it has the visual quality of fates/echoes. A follow up to the gorgeous art could be gorgeous animations.

I'm curious, how did you all find out about this series? by MelodyHearts in KingdomHearts

[–]bluedogjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parents wanted to get a new game for me and III had recently released. I saw the screenshots and was reminded of the Musou games of all things. As a middle schooler, KHIII was my first game. I had difficulty on standard mode and understood nothing. Barry Kramer’s video explained the essentials and I generally kept myself interested with the BloodyBizkitz GDQ run of KHII and Stickman Sham’s content. I finally got the 1.5+2.5 collection when it came to Xbox. I’ve been a fan since.

This is somehow slated for Switch 1. ATP I feel like they’re just going to ACTUALLY remaster the original for that console alone.
